Today was my only day on clear liquids for pre op - then a week following. I was good until now - I'm starving , but I'm going to sleep. I hope - 10 hours until I'm banded! PSYCHE!!!

Bingo, just got blessed. Great, surgery is Tuesday - it is, what it is. Like the others said, they are not operating down there. But you know, it's not fun to be groggy - flowing, and begging to get up so you don't have an accident. That's really all it is, the fear of the "accident" Maybe, I'll just get myself depends for a day - that ought to solve that ?

less than 48 hours to go! I'm so excited - We are all going to do great. Today, I went out, bought Isopure Clear Protein drinks, got my chapstick, broths, all I wish is I got new fuzzy socks LOL

I have a family of five. Children age ranges from 18 down to 11. Next week is my surgery and I'm concerned about dinner time. How to manage ? Does anybody have any great suggestions/tips how to handle this and still keep it a pleasant experience?

I went to high school with Christie ... My surgeon is Dr. Michael Nusbaum. Excellent surgeon. I have total confidence in him. He performed lap band surgey on Lisa Valastro & Mauro Castano from the TLC show, Cake Boss. They are doing great. It's really about the commitment. Praying I have the strength

I'm a June bandster too.. Surgery was moved up today to this Tuesday. Holy |#%> it's here! My surgeon doesn't require but a one day pre-op diet. Hang in there. It's motivating to hear you guys making it through each day! Keep up the good work - your positive attitudes are contagious!

I had to do the 6 months, but between fourth/fifth month- scheduled surgery an time flies. Who is your surgeon? I am so excited, I can't wait!

They do like cooking ! I've got a couple of meals prepared .. Take out wont hurt either I'm less anxious now, more excited!!

Congrats on your new bands! Is everyone doing clear liquids for a week after? I just got great news today, my surgery has been moved up to this Tuesday! I'm so anxious & excited.

Excited & anxious. They just moved my surgery up to this coming Tuesday ! I'm getting into my nesting mode. Any suggestions of what to prepare? We're you on a clear liquid diet for a week after??

Terry, Did you see the header on this forum? It said ladies only! However your comment made me laugh hysterically!

Ok one week to go! Doing good with my eating habits until I made a baked ziti - had two servings - but mentally I'm in a better place. Had to get the Pasta craving out of my system. Now I'm looking at foods differently. It's like a magnificent. I don't want to eat like I used to and I won't. I won't let anybody sabotage me as well. I'm nervous because I have three children, And preparing meals may be difficult. So if anybody has any good ideas please share them. I'm stocking my fridge with sugar-free Jell-O and Popsicles. I can't see how someone can eat chicken broth or any broth for one week straight. But I guess it's all doable. I start my clear liquid diet next Wednesday. How's your week going?

I just had my pre-admission testing, and lucky me, my "friend flow" will be joining me on June 6 th for surgery. Nurse said not a problem, just no tampons. I think I will wear a "depends" LOL. I'm nervous, and ashamed. I've been eating like crap. At least my cravings will be over by surgery date - guess that's good
