I am 1 year out from surgery and still wear some type of compression garment. It helps just hold everything where it's supposed to be because of the jiggles. I have tried everything from the full suits with pee holes to the shorts that come just below your beasts to corset types. And I have to tell you the 2 I like the best can be bought at walmart. The first is 'Hanes' brand it looks like a nude colored tank top except there is a real low scoop on the front so your breasts arent covered/scquished. It's made from the same kind of material as spanks but so much cheaper $15?? And it's long so you can tuck it into your pants to keep it in place. These ones are tricky though you step into this one and pull it up to your shoulders and put your arms in to ensure proper fit and smoothness. The 2nd is a cami styled tank called 'sweet nothings made by maidenform' comes in white or black around $12 and it's a godsend. It has adjustable shoulder straps, built in bra (although I still wear a bra with it for extra lift) it too is long enough to be tucked into jeans and can be put on over head or from the feet up. There are lots of options out there. As for size the Hanes product has a sizing chart. I buy them as a size smaller then what I typically wear. You don't want it so tight you can't breath and move but tight enough that it's doing its job.

July 15th, 1 year surgiversary! :)
kailie replied to kailie's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I remember it like just yesterday! I felt like death until almost 8 weeks post op. I thought it was the worst choice I had ever made. And then by 10 weeks post op I had more energy and the weight was just melting off. I was able to start adding more options into my diet... and then I realized that this was the best choice I had ever made. It's hard especially the first few months post op. But so so so worth it! -

On a July 15th 2013 I walked into my hospital, shaking and scared and almost changed my mind. I cried and sobbed and 2 nurses held my hand and assured me that this was the right choice for me. That I had come too far to give up now! The date of my surgery I weighed 343 lbs. My highest weight was 350. Today I weigh 199 lbs!! Woooohooooo I am so happy to be able to run and play with my 2 beautiful children and to finally be comfortable in my own skin again!!

I had the best dinner for only 90cal and 19g of protein
kailie replied to donaboss's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You got 19grams of protein from 1 paper thin slice of turkey and 1 paper thin slice of cheese?.... How is that possible. Most lunch meats serving size are 2oz which is atleast 2-3 slices if it's thin slice... -
She likes me fat - I make her feel better about herself
kailie replied to Kristin1969's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I've been friends with the girl who married my high school sweetheart for over 13years and it's been nothing but a competition since then. Today after 6 months and 107lbs down and not hearing a single positive word from her in those 6 months I deleted her from my Facebook and blocked her from being able to call or text me. I've supported her threw thick and thin even when I shouldn't have and I find out this past week that she's been talking bad about me behind my back... Time to cut my losses and move on. I have found out that some of my not so close friends are the best support team I could ask for and have turned into the best/closest friends I've ever had! -
I Want To See Before & After Pics!
kailie replied to Christina760's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Yes. Totally normal. You have sutures sewed from the inside and pulled really tight so they are going to hurt for awhile. My upper one in particular took months to stop hurting. Doctor said it was totally normal. I'm 6 months out and one of my lower ones still aches when pressure is applied to the area, she thinks it is because they cut threw an abdominal muscle on that side... ?? -
It's part of the healing the swelling in your stomach is going down which is causing changes in your stomach acid, hormones.. Lots of stuff... Are all of you on acid reducers like Prilosec? That feeling could also be associated with silent heart burn? I promise after 6 week you will start turning the corner and feeling better. Just hold in there and try all your might to get your fluids in.

6 month Anniversary! W/pictures

Thanks everyone!! -
Yes but g2 may not be enough that's why i suggested the pedialyte... I got sick like this at about 3-4 weeks and getting some pedialyte and nourishment via soups and kicking up my vitamins is how I got myself feeling better.
-
I'd also suggest if you arnt ready for the er to try anything to get some calories into you.. Creamed soup... Broths... Tomato soup... Diluted oj (maybe your sugars are low)... Pedialyte... I wouldn't worry too much about sugars or any of that stuff right now you need to get yourself feeling better before you get worse
