My surgerys back on!! Come Monday morning ill be starting my new life!!!

100 calls later and I'm still optimistic for my July 15th surgery date. I was down 10lbs but now I'm only down 5. I will hear from the insurance coordinator tomorrow afternoon whether or not my surgery is still a go!! Putting myself on a full liquid diet starting in the a.m. And praying for a positive out come!! I still can't believe one coordinator told me I was 100% covered with no out of pocket expenses and another calls a week and a half before surgery to tell me I have to pay 2,700 dollars up front!!!!!

Major lack of communication!! I was crushed. My whole family was crushed. But the coordinator I'm speaking to now is pretty sure she can find me some wiggle room with 1,000 dollars up front and payment plan the rest. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high... But, a person can't possibly have this much bad luck can they? Lol *fingers crossed*

Have any of you (or heard of someone) switching insurance during their process? I have state Medicaid as well and my mom suggested I drop my BCBS and go through my Medicaid. But I'd have to travel 3.5 hours away to have surgery and I don't know what Medicaid requirements are

My boyfriend isn't unemployed he works more the 60 hours a week but he still wasn't approved for the care credit thing. He's going to apply for a loan at out credit union tomorrow and see if we can get one there.

My boyfriend and I both applied and both were denied. I don't think my surgeon takes it

If my boyfriend applies for this could I use it for me? I'm currently unemployed due to mobility issues. So I won't qualify for anything

Protein powder is pre mixed into all of my gross disgusting processed manufactured pre op diet food. Does all protein powder smell and taste bad, or should I just assume this company uses a gross brand to make their products?? I need some suggestions on good tasting protein powder.

I had mine out when I was 16 so I don't have to worry about it. But there's a very good chance you will need it removed! At the rate you loose weight with WLS gallstones are nearly impossible to avoid

My machine comes with a heated hose so I can get warmer air through my nose mask and my nose doesn't dry out as much. But dry mouth was because I'd fall asleep and my mouth drooped open and was breathing through my mouth. Now I have a chin strap to keep my mouth closed and hate it, but hate the claustrophobic feeling of the full face mask more!

I start my pre op liver shrinking diet in the morning!!! I can't believe I will be having surgery in 14 days!! I stayed positive but not overly hopeful. I thought something would happen to de-rail my process!! Woohoooo I'm so ready for the diet no matter how hungry I get!!

I'm sticking to it and I will do it because I have to but I need to rant!! I would much rather have to do a liquid diet. But I'm now eating processed chemical added food from some "health" food company and my dr says I have to follow this plan!! Yuuuuuck!! Ok. Rant over!!
