I didn't / barely slept at the hospital. The morphine made me groggy but not sleepy. I noticed if I laid down my tummy was brewing bubbles n when i got up I was burping and having hiccups as I was walking it off. Sent from my SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 using LapBandTalk

Hello, your PCP has your ticket for band land. Without a medical clearance you cant have surgery. Don't be embarrassed, go for it. For me, I met with my surgeon on 4/18/13. On that date I knew I wanted this surgery. So I made my appointments for the nutritionist, psychologist, cardiologist (EKG, Ecocardiogram), palmonologist, sleep study, endoscopy, chest xrays, sonograms n finally my weight ins with my PCP 3 months. Pre-op advice, carry a Protein Meal Replacement bar & Water with you when you go out. For ex. I was at the mall for 3 hrs (crazy I know) and everyone got hungry (shocker) so they ate that food court junk and I was prepared and ate my yummy bar. I'm not sure. My surgeon stated it was standard practice for him. Plus not sure about you, but my liver is 18cm & normal size is 14cm. So its a fatty liver im sure but he wants to make sure there isnt any scaring whatever that means. Lol he's in there already why not. Bsellis, I did my pre surgery test in Monday. They took blood, urine sample, EKG and sent me home with a print out of what to expect. For me it included; the lap band procedure, caring for incisions, the hiatal hernia, liver biopsy and Post op care. Sent from my SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 using LapBandTalk

@Helli, its the Protein shakes going right thru you. Chances are ur using Water instead of milk bc your most likely on an 800-1000 cal diet. Those symptoms will change. Its a cleanse of your insides. I didn't have to fill out a questionnaire!! When I spoke with the Psych, he asked me why am I considering WLS, Do I have support, am I ready to look n feel different, do I know the risks of the surgery? Throughout the discussion, he was well aware that I have anxiety & panic attacks. (Treated by meds) I was still cleared!!
