I'm being banded through Sparrow Health System/Michigan State University Dept of Surgery in Lansing, MI. My surgical consult is 7-18-07 and then my surger date will likely be 4-6 weeks after that. I will need to go on a 4 week Optifast liquid diet pre-surgery. Program is very professional and helpful so far.

Hello, Is anyone from the Lansing Michigan area? I am currently attending Sparrow Weight Management Center and had my psych eval today. I will have to go on a 4 week pre-op Optifast diet so I will have surgery this summer. This site has been very helpful to me. -
Hi, I'm new to the posts. I am near the end of a required 12 week Optifast program to get my insurance to pay for the surgery. I hope to have surgery this summer. I liked the taste of Optifast - but you do get sick of the same thing day-in & day-out! I have to do Optifast for 4 weeks prior to surgery - AGAIN! UGH! I'll do it though. I've lost 25 pounds in 9 weeks.
