  1. Snowgator! Congratulations on your 5k training. 5k's are my thing! Last year my goal was to run 12 of them (my thinking was one for each month...) I didn't make my goal, but I still had a great time trying. I did the couch to 5k program a couple years ago. If you go to Podrunner.com he has a great program. I recently restarted the program in attempt at a better time. You will do fantastic! Enjoy yourself and again congrats. ALOHA to all my other Banditos! Sorry, i dont get on here much, but you are always in my thoughts on this journey!
  2. Hey Chicka! You are the glue that holds us all together, I think about YOU all of the time. Thanks for everything Dee! Hubby is silly as usual the kidlings are doing well. I did the C25K program and loved, loved, loved it! Search Podrunner, it is free. There is also a Couch to 5k group here on LBT, they are great support and helpful tips. I think it's come join me...couch to 5k??? I still use the C25K program when I run. I ran the Susan G Komen again this year, it was amazing. I thought of your friend that you lost last year and wondered how her family is holding up. I always come away from that 5k feeling good about myself. Both boys ran with me this year and Hubby waited at the finish. My next 5k is the Gorilla Run (save the Gorillas!). Everyone runs in a Gorilla suit, sounds fun huh?
  3. ALOHA Banditos! Im still alive and fightin the fight! Patty thanks for the PM!
  4. Just poppin in to wish everyone a great weekend! Even though my scale refuses to move (I put it away while ago, but I can feel the "no change"), I am happy with the changes my band has given me. I am able to do many things that I once only thought and dreamed about. Running 5k's, Roller Blading, Tennis, Bicycling even skateboarding! Thank You Dr. K!!! Now if I can get these last 50~ish pounds off, who knows what I'll try next! cheers!
  5. DOGS RULE cats drool!!! hehe, and yes I am four. Tucker is the Bionic Million Dollar Dog and Buster is his side kick. MUNCHIE'S Back! YAY! Nice to have you back. I too have been MIA. I am counting the days 'til my next fill. I want the restriction that Lapdancer has. It's Friday and I am celebrating my 22 year anniversary. I can't believe how quick the years have flown by. My best friend, my confidant, my savior (well, Buster is too), but my hubby IS my LOVE! Cheers to all!
  6. Dee~I hate how other people invade our confidence and make us feel so bad. You are NOT ugly and you are NOT disgusting. You are as beautiful oustide as you are inside and I am fortunate to know you and be a part of your journey. You have literally worked your arse off, don't let the bastards get you down. You are someone that deserves Royal Treatment in this life, you are kind and thoughtful, considerate and ALWAYS here for everyone. I believe in you and I am proud of you! If I could go to Mexico with you , I would do it yesterday, maybe do a two for one!!! Hugs...
  7. Ditto here gals! I have hidden my scale (again). trying to low carb it, awaiting my fill at the end of July. Whew, it has been a bumpy ride, battling the same few pounds FOREVER! Hang in there gals, we can do it! Off to the gym and then the spa for a steam and facial...ahhh! Cheers!

Way to go. Lap~My Kevin thanks you for the food and the drawing. I'm afraid to say, the box will forever be in his car! He keeps everything in his car! You look stunning, you are stunning! Tuckers Mom, I mean Grace! I am so glad that we finally got to meet. I hope your feeling better. Buster sends wet sloppy doggie kisses.
  17. Shelbi~so so sorry to hear about your loss. Barkley was very fortunate to have a loving pack leader, he will be greatly missed. Buster sends snuggly hugs! A BIG WELCOME to Wilson, he has found the best forever home, bless you! Sounds like you had a Christmas to remember with your Pops, we ended up singing everything BUT Christmas songs at my house (don't know why??), we even rapped!!! Our friend that is paralyzed was able to come over and spend Christmas Eve with us, we had a wonderful time! Lap~hey girl! WOW, congrats on the 18's! You look GREAT! How is the baby? Happy New Year Banditos! Will I see a size 9 in 2009??
  18. I am fighting this bug! I have been drinking that Airbourne stuff every three hours...YUCK! Geen tea with honey, and lots of water. I just feel the chills, aches and low energy. I am having about 20 people over for Christmas Eve, I better kick this bug or I will be resting in my bed and they can fend for themselves! I just realized that when I was at Colorado Mills mall on Saturday, someone broke into my car! I noticed that something didn't look right about my handle. Now I remembered that I had about four large bags of stuff that I was taking to donate and they are gone! Sad, sad. I hope the people that took them needed them more than ARC and Goodwill. Some PEOPLE!! I hope you have a good shopping experience today.
  19. Hey Banditos! Whew, what a crazy time. I still have shopping to do, cleaning to do and cooking/baking! I picked up some kind of bug over the weekend and this morning I feel yucky, terrible timing! Hope everyone is doing better than I am. I take the Spring Valley calcium chews too, I love them. Both the chocolate and the caramel are yummy.
  20. I put it on my calender, I will try to make it!
  21. Dee~Congratulations on your return to the babies! That is where you are needed. Welcome back to your "happy place". I was worried about you. Now you can get your workout mojo back!! I love what you wrote about our addiction to food. I used to tell people that I was allergic to food, when I ate too much of it, it would make me swell...LOL Coming into the Band world and knowing that it is a tool, I thought I had a good handle on it, but I don't and I realize that this will be a forever battle. I think you are doing an amazing job with your band. I wanted to be at goal by now or at least 100 pounds lighter, but I am not, so I must get back on the wagon and work the band! Buster sends kisses! You know that Kay jewlrey commercial??? My new song to Buster is, every kiss begins with Buster!
  22. There ya' go Jamie! Just do it! I have to tell myself to just get to the gym. Wether my workout is a weak one or a full out sweat and panting, I am "moving" my body and "nothing happens if nothing happens" You can do it!
  23. Hi gals! Mini~Yes, I need a fill. I hope I can get in for one soon. I am down 2 pounds since trying to get back on track with my workouts. I figured I would just go to the gym everyday. It is kicking my butt, I love it though! The working out has been the easy part for me, it's making the wrong food choices and overeating at night that has me fighting the scale... Dee~Sorry to hear about your job. I hope things work out. We spend so much time at our jobs, you deserve to love your job. I can't believe your one year is coming up! WOW! Stay warm today! brrrr, it's freeezing out there! Good day all Bandsters!
  24. Aloha my friends! I hope everyone is doing well. I have been MIA for quite a while, but I wanted to drop in and let you know that I still check in every now and then and I think about my Bandito buddies often. After running my first 5k I kind of fell off the wagon, slacked off on the working out, made lots of wrong food choices and gained 7 lbs!!! I am back on track with the gym, food choices are always tough, and I hope to start losing again (I have been the FOREVER plateau girl). uggggh! Jamie, I was a big beer drinker before my band. At first I really missed it, but not so much now. Cheers!
