Happy Birthday to the young gals! I'm 41 and I tell everyone I can't remember how old I am...which isn't a stretch, I often forget if I am 40 or 41 and sometimes 42??? It's just another number. Sometimes I behave like a 20 somethin', tonight I am going to the Breaking Benjamin concert...this morning I was thinking, what was I thinking...a week night, gotta wake at 5:30...gotta learn to act my age!!! LOL!! good times! Lapdancer~water arobics sounds fun. I love jazzercise! been thinking about rejoining, and of course my gym, I hhave been a member for over a year and haven't been in months!! Gotta get back on track! Woofay~drive safe! I'll be thinking about ya'. Drews~you are glowing in your picture! Congrats on getting back on the skates and losing the 12 pounds. Hope to hear good news on the 12th! VA~You will have a great time in Vegas. I think Bally's is bit off of the srip, not really sure. There is sooo much to do wether you see the sights, shows, gamble, night life...it can be alot of fun. I just love to people watch, the later it gets the more entertaining it is. Oh yeah don't forget your watch, there are no clocks in Vegas (besides your room). -

SSSOOOOO, much to see and do! Where will you be staying? Depends on what you are interested in. If you are a thrill seeker, there are a few coasters! If you like shows, then you have a ton to choose from. You must see the Bilagio and the fountian, very nice. If you like to play the tables, I reccomend downtown casinos (they seem to have cheaper tables), you must also go downtown to see the Freemont Street light show, pretty cool. The night life of course is outta this world! We spent $400.00 for a bottle of vodka and a table on the dance floor...fun, fun, but will not do that again! Be ready to take lots of pictures...beautiful scenery...oh yeah and take lots of ones$$$ tip, tip, tip!!! You will have a blast, I am very happy to be home. -

I hear ya! My son just graduated from High School this year and I could have used that money to help him out with college, buy him a car, etc, etc. This year my family is celebrating many other important milestones aswell, we had actually planned on taking a huge family trip, but no one could come up with anything, so...I took the money and ran with it...LOL! Anyway, money comes and goes my dear and we deserve this! I don't regret spending it, it was really hard putting the check in the mailbox that day, but I did it and I haven't looked back! This is something that I wanted for years and once I had the money ready, I did it! You ARE worth it and you deserve a healthier YOU! Right on with your mantra. -

Ladies, I just checked my calendar for July (and posting Marcyinak's surgery date) when I noticed...The Railbenders (Alternative Country) will be playing outdoors at Southlands Mall @7:00, they have lots of resteraunts and a very nice courtyard with water fountains and such...anyway check it out online...maybe we could meet up there??? It might not be very convienant to many though, but it is right off of E470 and Smoky Hill...just a thought. -

I AM THE SAME WAY!!!! I always put EVERYONE before myself...this is something for us!! I know it feels guilty, I often think of what else I could of spent the money on and who else I could of spent the money on, I was even looking for approval from my husband and two sons like "is it okay with them"...We work hard for our money and we spend so much time and effort on others. Let me tell you...once I decided to do this, I felt so much better about myself. So try not to feel selfish, we are giving a better, healthier and happier and person to our husbands, children, families and friends and of course OURSELVES!! I wish you the best! -

8675309~Good for you for calling!! That step alone took me YEARS!! Once I called the office, the ball started rolling for me. I hope this works out for you. We all deserve to be happy!! Dynamo~I can't wait to get restriction...nervous but excited to get this thing kick started! How ya' doing LapDancer? Woofay~Bandster Hell?? I think for me the Hell part was the clear liquids and the Full Liquids...I just wanted to chew, chew, chew!! After that short time, i have been eating whatever, I hope I'm doing this right...I do the protien shakes and water inbetween, eat my protiens, take my multi and calcium. I feel sooo hungry, I don't eat as much as I did before the surgery, but I feel like I can eat more than I should be. I am ready for my first fill!! ooooh, I wanted to share what I found tonight at Target...Murray, sugar free, fudge dipped wafers...YUMMY!! zero sugars, 19 carbs for four cookies, 140 cals, 10 grams of fat, 2 trans fat...blah, blah...they are delicious..think Kit Kats. What do you think Woofay, do they sound good for us? One more day and it's off to Vegas$$$$$$$ Goodnight dear friends! -
Carie, I'm sure that all went well. Take care of yourself and listen to your body...recover well!!!

Hi Ladies and Gents! Hope all is going well! My computer has a pain in the you know what virus and I too keep getting kicked off and all kinds of pop ups are attacking me!!!! My Laptop works fine and I usually use that in the evening, but I have been so busy during the evening hours...so, here I go...hopefully it will make it through! LapDancer and Dynamo~Hope your fills are working for you. I sure have been able to eat ALOT, not as much as before surgery but alot more than what I should be...I started to journal my eating too...with Vegas around the corner...I see lack of control coming! Drews~How's the knee? I can imagine that you are more than ready to get back on your skates! I treated myself to a pedicure and manicure last night...lovely. Made a promise to treat myself to something special every now and then! I wish you all a powerful day! -
Surgery went smooth, after surgery very smooth, I had some liquid that was forming under my port incision, not a problem. At times I wonder if he remembered to put the band in because I have has such an easy recovery. I can't wait for my first fill (July 2). Where are you having your surgery done? How do you feel about it? I was sooo excited and now I am ready to move on to the next phase. This site is amazing, I found sooo much support and understanding here, I hope to see your posts around!

marcyinak, I wore stretchy pants and a t shirt. The weather should be hot, hot, hot! I have alot of those "just my size" T's and shorts, they were perfect for after surgery, I also wear sports bras (they are nice and stretchy) and flip flops or some kind of slip on shoe, you are not going to want to bend over to put shoes on and or tie them! and don't forget the sunscreen if you plan on being out in this high altitude sun...and of course drink as much Water as you can so you don't get alt sickness, I'm sure you know about that stuff, but I thought I would add it anyway! I am excited for you! Hope to meet you in July!! -

LapDancer, I absolutly LOVE the pics! You are sooo much fun!! Smooches to the pooches. Your kitties..soooo adorable. Handsome son, is he a model? I LOVE Halloween too. We have costume parties every year...let's see I was Louise Layne and hubby was Superman (hysterical he kept trying to carry me around all night), famiy went as goldie locks and the 3 bears (my oldest son was goldie locks...LOL), I was the socket, hubby the plug, The Good, the bad and the ugly (of course i was the good)...I can't remember some of the others....too much fun! I am all about "theme" parties, we do Disco parties, of course Luau's, Monte Carlo Night, and of course Halloween! I'm diggin' your art too, again we have a commonality. I ADORE art! still want to be a commercial artist when I grow up! fun, fun, fun!!! -

Hi Dyno! I'm sure the 12th will be fine for me. I am pretty much open to any place. Dyno, your doing great! Dont beat yourself up...I always remember the Drews quote about doing this not to be on a diet for the rest of her life...I wote it down on my calendar... it's so true, be good to yourself don't restrict yourself from treats every now and then...I think you deserve it. You are entitled to a treat. ((((hugs)))), I can't get the little pic to come up...there it is!:girl_hug:
