Dr. Gerald Kirshenbaum - Considering Dr. Kirshenbaum
Mal replied to Shesha's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Hey ladies, I just wanted to stop in and wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. There is so much going on here. I have been the master "lurker" with no time to post. Sorry to hear about the job loss and wish the new jobs much success. Marcy your picture is glowing, Hawaii suits you! How's the pup, did you get her yet? Some bands are doing well and some are struggling. I am struggling, even gained! The gym has become a distant friend and I miss it but the motivation has come to a halt and I eat terribly...YUCK! I hope to get back on track but I have been the slowest loser and I have worked so hard to get not so far... I love the messed up lyrics site, that is hysterical! I hope you all enjoy your Holiday Peace -

YAY for Mr. Tucker. When I die, I am coming back as a dog and I want Deb to adopt me, you are a wonderfully commited pet owner! Cheers! Jamie the after dinner hours have always been a problem of mine, I still fight this all the time. I could leave my house at 5, workout at the gym for 1.5 hours, eat dinner, walk Buster, clean house, do laundry and whatever else I can think of to keep my mind off of food and even try to go to bed early. Can you believe sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and I think I want to eat something? My big problem is that I don't eat enough throughout the day, so come evening hours my body is starving. I try to eat like I should throuout the day, but most of the time I don't. Like today, I had an Atkins shake for breakfast, that was at like 6, I had a tuna sandwich at 12 and I probably won't eat anything else until around 7, then the body starts wanting everything! I am really trying to recommit myself to my Lapband life. I know what I nedd to do, I just need to do it! Congrats to you for beating that evening hunger beast! Kitty's are cute, but I am a dog lover! I have a cat, well my son does (Otis). He drives me insane! My cousin has four cats, they are all so beautiful. I call her the crazy cat lady, she used to have 5, and she wants to get more. Maybe your cats can smell the food that you gave the male cat, maybe it's their favorite flavor?? -

Munchkin~I hope you have a wonderful time with your sis and that would be fantastic if you met up with Jamie. What a great group of gals we have here! I can't wait to see pictures of you all dolled up again. Let's see, the last time I dressed up....wow, that was another lifetime! Now dressing up in costumes and such, we do that often! Disco parties, Monte Carlo nights, Luau's, but to actually dress up nice and look like a grown up...have fun, you will look amazing, you are beautiful!! and your Starbucks guy sounds like a sweetheart, I wonder what number three was...LOL Dee~you are MORE than the mama, you are the QUEEN! Thank you for all you do for us here. Mini~When I read your post, I heard it in Palin's voice..."ya, geez"...teee heee Denver~two months already? Keep up the good work! Our friend is scheduled to come home on Dec 5th, he has been doing some artwork, which is wonderful! He has moved over to a suite, very nice! Marcy~what did you name the pup?...snickerdoodle smoochie poo?...LOL Deb~how is Tucker doing these days? Jamie~how are you healing? Lap~I miss you! How's the baby doing? I decided not to register for the Thanksgiving run. I have managed to come down with some crud and I haven't been able to workout since Saturday. That doesn't give me much time even if I were to feel better today (which I don't). I'm pretty bummed about it, but what can I do??? not to mention, I am eating terribly! Hang in there ladies, it's Wednesday! -

Tally~I am so sorry to hear about your fill experience. It sounds like you are too tight, what did Dr,. K say? I am thinking he unfilled you, better safe than sorry. My fills usually take a couple weeks before I feel them, I would hate to think that you could get tighter in a couple weeks, that would be dangerous. Please let us know how things went and how you are doing. I am praying that you don't have a leak and everything will work out. Jamie~I heard that Dr. K will not refill pain meds, I think he will reccomend that you use liq tylenol, but it wouldn't hurt to call and ask. I am registering for my 2nd 5k today, a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving. I am not feeling very confident about this one, I have been slacking in the workout department and eating all the wrong things. I like to blame this set back on the time change and the weather change. Must snap out of it!! Thank goodness my scale needs a battery, I haven't weighed in a few weeks. Have to get my butt back in gear! Hope you all have a productive weekend! The pictures are GREAT!!! Ladies are looking amazing!!! Hey Mini, what do you know about Dr. Amen? I would love, love, love to be able to send my son to him. We have done the SPECT, It would be a dream to have his feedback on them. Today is Buster's birthday! Who is bringing their furry friends over for cake and ice cream??? He is two and he is behaving like a terrible two! -

OMG! I LOVE it! I wish my bottom would fit in that chair. I had a choice of going to the gym or meeting at RR and since I mised the gym a couple times, I thought I better go workout. Thanks for thinking about me, you gals are the BEST!!! I am supposed to do another 5k on Thanksgiving and the way I am working out, it doesn't look like I will make it (sad face). Can you believe I got the hubby to go to the gym too? We have had this membership for a couple years and he has only been a few times, I hope he starts to workout with me. Wishing you well Jamie! -

RR ladies look GREAT! Sorry I didn't make it, I had two little one's with the stomach flu and my house was decorated in vomit (YUCK), so I had lots of cleaning and scrubbing to do. Dee~ I love the progress you are making. I remember our first meeting, I can't believe that was a year ago! I sooo wanted some RR lastnight! -

Ms. Deb~First of all congratulations to you and Janet. I wish you both many, many years of happiness together! 24 years is an amazing milestone. Please don't refrain from posting here, I will miss you. The most important lesson in life is to be happy, some people never find that happiness and they wonder through their lives searching and being bitter and sad. oh, yeah...give Tucker a big kiss from Buster! YAY woofay's back! You were dearly missed my friend! I think once you are healed up, you are going to feel like a million bucks! I left my Uterus at Parker Adventist (LOL) two years ago. Have you checked out www.Hystersisters.com? That site helped me out a lot. PM me if you want to chat. I am so happy to see you back here. -

Thanks Dee, it was an amazing experience wasn't it? Did you get a hat at the race? I have worn mine every day this week. It is the perfect gym hat. I LOVE free stuff, I got lots of stuff. I didn't get the scarf, I really wanted one but I couldn't find the booth that had them. How is the BFL going? I should have started this week, but I tell ya, I am hesitant, I don't know if I can do it??? -

Hey Munchkin~That is good news that you were able to talk with your neighbor. I was really worried about how anyone can be so evil. I hope things settle down now and that most of it was misunderstandings. Now it will be nice to have them there to watch over you if your ex comes around to start trouble. I wish you well. Keep us posted on what happens with the dogs. I have a good feeling that eveything wil work out. -

Lotza~So sorry to hear the news about your dad. You and you family are in my thoughts and prayers. WOW! So I am still on this emotional roller coaster from the run. I just can't believe I did it. I don't know where the break down came from at the finish line...that I accomplished something that I have always wanted to do, the memory of my mom, the vibe in the air or maybe everything hitting all at once. Honestly the only thing that was on my mind was "don't stop, just keep going." I couldn't wait to come here and post that I did it! I knew you all would understand where I have come from and to be able to finish a 5k run! I had this dream that I was standing on the stage after the race making a speech. It was like I was accepting an award for running the race. I thanked Dr. K and all my friends on LBT because without them, I would not have been there. So, thanks my friends and thanks Dr. K.! -
My resting heart rate is 44! Before I got my band it was 100.
-
I just wanted to drop in and wish you all the best. I ran my first 5k on Sunday and it was amazing. I cried and cried after I crossed the finish line and I couldn't stop running, I just kept going! YOU CAN DO THIS! I LOVE PODRUNNER! I am planning my next 5k for Thanksgiving...a Turkey Trot 5k!

Congratulations Dee, I am so proud of you. You and your daughter look FAB! Your daughter looks so much like you, she has your sweet smile. Chris and I did the first race, I know...I told him to pretend to be woman. I saw a lot of men in that race. I WAS a sweaty mess, but it was a great feeling. I left my phone in my car, so I couldn't hook up with anyone. I even lost Chris and Mike and had to ask a stranger if I could use his phone so I could find them. YAY for us!
