Dr. Gerald Kirshenbaum - Thinking about using Dr. Kirshenbaum
Mal replied to lotzasunshine's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
lotza~I am just a year out with my band and I am very happy with my decision. Your parents are giving you a wonderful gift. If you decide to go with Dr, K, I think you will be very happy. The only regret that I have is that I didn't have it done when I was your age (or that they weren't availble WAAAAY back then). Dr. K has an amazing staff too! keep us posted on your decision and your journey! hope your hubby is doing better too! -

Keep inspiring us sister! bahot~Vacation again?...LUCKY! June 11th for RR sounds good to me..anyone else? Green and Woofay~I didn't get my wii fit over the weekend...darn it! I can't wait! Don't you love the boxing? I like the bowling too, my favorite thing is to make the people! I have been trying to do the Dance Dance Revolution on our XBOX, but I am terrible at it. I get too frustrated and shut it off. Did anyone do the Boulder Boulder? Last year I said I would do it, but I totally forgot! Maybe next year. clucky~I am so very happy with Dr. K and his staff, I would reccomend them to anyone. Dee~Tollgate is a great neighborhood! and so close to me too! -

Dee~The Race for the Cure only costs about $25-ish to register (per person), you can get sponsors but you don't have to. I usually register at Runner's Roost, there is one on Parker Rd at Arapahoe Crossing. They will give you your shirt and number then too. Adorkable~I think you are thinking about the race in the mountains, the three day one? I would have liked to do that one too, but like you said, if you can't get the $1800.-ish in donations, you have to pay the rest... by the way, how is your mother doing? sewpfun2~WELCOME! It would be great to meet you, please come join us at RR! Isin't Lap a kind soul?...I love you Lap! -

Bookholder~way to go on joining the gym! and thanks for the encouragement. I took my one year picture, wearing the same thing I wore just before my surgery and I don't look that much different. I feel tons better, but I just can't see it. I will never post those pictures, no one would ever believe that they were taken a year apart...it's a two year process and I sure hope I can lose at least 50 more.:confused2: lifesaver~You ARE a lifesaver! I would LOVE your 18/20's! Congrats for not needing them anymore! If you want to bring them to the next RR meeting that would be absolutly FAB! Thanks sooooooo much!:cool2: and, it sounds like you might need a slight fill. Were you able to get in earlier than your 4 week out appointment? I know that I need one, it is just so hard for me to schedule an appointment and take time off. After hour appointments or weekend appointments would be great for me. Dee~Yes, I have done the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure the last two years, this year, I want to run it! I don't think I have been able to run since I was a teenager! Maybe I should consider speed walking instead??? Maybe I'll see you down there?! -

Denise~What a wonderful feeling! Congrats to you and your daughter. Woofay~Thanks for posting again. I missed you! I went back to all the RR pictures (I don't look that much different), your changes are phenomenal! I'll send you the pages if you want to check us out. I could really use a fill but it is so hard for me to schedule any time off....grrrr, I was hoping the 8th fill would hang in there. Lap~Where are those toes??? Dee~You are doing fantabulous on the PB diet! Me...not so good. My brain is like mush anymore. I can't commit to anything, I just give in too easily....must do mental work! Adorkable~Sorry, you can't make it to the BBQ. I think many of us feel the economy's belt tightening. There are about 5 houses on my street that have been foreclosed. It is so sad. I would like to see a stimulus check once a month, now that would stimulate the economy! Job well done on losing again. One pound is a great accomplishment. I am happy to hear that you are running again. That is my dream goal..to be able to run. I really want to run the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure this year. Have a Happy Friday all my Bandito Buddies! -

It was just me, Natalie and some other gal...oh yeah and my hubby... LOL! I didn't read your post about giving Natalie a hug and to tell her you said hi, sorry. She said she had talked to S***** and I was thinking "who is that", then I was like oh yeah Dee! I hope we can do another clothing swap, with more people, it is such a good idea! -

Hey Gals! The clothing swap was great. Natalie had a lot of very nice "dressy" clothes. I was looking for 18's and 20's and I got a few really nice outfits. Dee~check with Natalie, she has some clothes stashed for you! Amieru~200!!! Yowzah! Shelbie~have fun! and thanks! -

Thanks bahot~Congrats on your smaller size AND you ARE A HOT MOMMA!!! Isin't that weird about the ice cream, I have never been a "sweets" kind of person, but that ice cream that my neighbor brought over keeps calling my name. I am out the door for the clothing swap, making my hubby come with to help carry stuff, I think I am the only one going...I guess I'll swap clothes with myself, I hope I get some good stuff...LOL -

Okay, me first for the BB...I already have a BB Brain!..LOL I am not a big Pizza fan, but they brought home an Italian hoagie AND pizza! I passed up the pizza and had half of the hoagie. How about this...my neighbor (she is the sweetest lady EVER), she brought over one of those GINORMOUS buckets of ice cream the other day. I don't know where the real Mal is, but before, I could care less about sweets, but now.... ...and me and my hubby STILL always say "why don't you just marry it?" We argue over who gets to marry Buster, I just love my Buster...and I WILL marry him (on Tuesday, I always say) -

It's okay, I know I am a failure! I have become so stubborn with my eating. If I want it, I'll eat it...there is no will power, no discipline now...I have temporarily lost it, I'll get it back, but for now...GONE! I purposely drank a P shake before I left for this lecture, I knew that I would be home late. I didn't expect my hubby and boys to eat out at a pizza place and bring left overs home (evil people:cursing:). when I got home the hoagie was the fastest thing to grab and eat, not to mention it was 10:00!! YIKES! AND, I also ate a cupcake yesterday, how could I say no to a super sweet 6 year olds birthday?? AND I also admit to an ice cream cone. There it is, all out! I am heading to the gym and I am going to work my butt off (or part of it, the part that I gained yesterday). I will go to the naughty chair, heck, I might aswell duct tape it to my a**!! Has anyone heard when the "brain" band is coming out? I would like to put my name on the waiting list.. -

Thanks for all the one year hoorahs! I STILL have not taken a picture!!! I will try to do it today! I hoped that I would be down a lot more, but I SWEAR I must be the plataeu QUEEN!...and this is why....I couldn't even make it past day two on the PB diet! Last night I got home soooo late, didn't eat dinner, so when I got home, I was soooo hungry~I ate half an Italian hoagie and chips!! There went the PB diet!! I did well before that....but I am still a failure! -

I would like to hire a trainer...maybe someday, they are too pricey for me! Dee~Day 2 of the PB diet...LOL, PB diet! Yesterday was fine until after my workout! i still made it, but I was not a happy camper! Today, so far: B~Atkins Shake S~2HB eggs L~meatballs and cheese S~? D~? S~?probably Atkins shake No gym today and probably no walk either...I have a lecture right after work and won't be home until after 10! Sidney~Sounds like you are healing well. Natalie said that she has not heard from anyone for the clothing swap....awwww man! I hope there is a next time! Dee! This P diet is HARD!!! I did fine all day, now I want to eat EVERYTHING! I always get soooooo hungry after working out, it has always been a problem for me. I decided to go to the gym, did my cardio and weights, drank lots of water, came home ate pork roast (I hope that was on the list) and now I am hungry! I hope I make it through the night! Gosh, it's the first day....I suck!
