Not as unhappy as I used to be

I was at the gym when it opened at 6 am this morning. I'm planning to make this a weekday habit. Yes, it's one day down but it is another accomplishment for the new me. Every positive decision is a step in the right direction. Hope you all are taking positive steps!

  3. This is exactly where I am right now. I have lost 75 lbs and have been going up and down within 5 lbs for months. I am no longer miserable so this horrible winter has helped me lose the motivation to move forward. I still have a lot to lose though so I am also recommitting. I have had the same thoughts, if this was a fad diet I would be at a record high right now. I'm thankful for my band and also scared to think l haven't changed as much as I need to. I'm ready to move past this point and see what I can do. Good luck as you continue your journey!
  4. Since the beginning of last year I have lost 75 lbs. I have 57 more to go to make it to my Drs goal weight for me and 75 to the weight I'd really like to reach. The thing is in every attempt to lose weight, like this one, I get to a point where I'm not that unhappy with myself. I want to lose more but am pretty happy with myself now (compared to where I was before) so it's hard to find the motivation to work out and plan healthier meals. It gets easier to focus on the kids, house, etc then myself. Anyone else have these points in time? I'm hoping with warmer weather I will find renewed motivation to step things up and stay on track to finding an even healthier me. Any suggestions for keeping at it?

4th Fill- This May Be Green Zone

That's great! I'm 4 days out from my 6th fill. I think I'm finally in the green zone. I've almost got stuck a few times but I think it was just not chewing enough and problem foods. I'm hoping I don't end up too tight but most things aren't bothering if I take small bites and chew, chew, chew! I don't get hungry until about 11 am. Then again about 3pm but usually wait til dinner about 5 to eat. Then done or very small snack for the night. I could get used to this!
  6. I know everyone is different but what does the green zone feel like to you? I had my 5th fill 2 1/2 weeks ago. I have 5.5 cc in a 10 cc band. I *think* I may be in the green zone but feel like I'll need another week or two to see if it gets any looser and how my intake is. Just wanted to see what restriction feels like to others. Thanks!

    Birthday Goal

So tonight I did Jillian Michael's 30 day Shred. I attempted to do this same workout when I was about 60 lbs heavier and almost cried doing jumping jacks during the WARM-UP. At the time it was way to much for me. Well tonight I did the whole workout and I feel great. I may not be able to walk tomorrow but I'm so proud of how far I've come and pumped to see how far I can go! So I'm going to do the 30 day Shred for my 30 day challenge. Thanks everyone for the support!!

    Birthday Goal

Not really:( I was walking 2 miles, several times a week. With fall activities back in full swing for the kids (soccer, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, etc) I have let that slip, unintentionally. I know I need to do that but trying to figure out what I should do and where to fit it in the day. Any suggestions?

    Birthday Goal

I was banded 4 1/2 months ago. Since my consultation 8 months ago I have lost 52 lbs. that's great but for almost 2 months I have went up and down 5-8 lbs. I'm ready to get out of this rut and tighten up on what I need to be doing. I would love to lose 13 lbs by my birthday-1 month from today. At my current weight that really is not unrealistic. Overall I just want to be healthier and more committed to this life change and my birthday is good fuel for that. I would appreciate any helpful advice or encouraging words to help me stay committed this next month and ultimately for life. Thank you to anyone who will support me!!
  10. Thanks everyone. I am attaching more, I like these better:) I have a long way to go but am enjoying the journey and love my band!
  11. Well, I'm still a work in progress but feeling pretty good. I'm down about 55 lbs from late January, 25 since surgery 3 months ago. Here are my first before/after pics. I could have "sucked it in" and made them look even better but I wanted it to be realistic:) Be kind:)
