I'm bblnlmc on there. I used to use it allot. I haven't used it in a while. Guess this will help motivate me.

My dr is Dr Luttrell. I love the way he does everything. He called me the day after surgery and checked on me. I have cell phone numbers to him and the nutritionist and I use them often if I have questions. The hospital staff was so friendly and helped me and made sure I was took care of. Everything went great for me. I'm doing great today. I am eating scrambled eggs for breakfast this morning

Wow. I have 5 incisions and they are all to the left side. Each dr sure is different

You can buy them at some Wal marts or SAMs club. I have a ton of flavors

Well I didn't have allot of gas pains. I drank chicken broth (drained from chicken noodle soup) when I got home from the hospital. It helped my throat and I don't have a sore throat. I woke up about 1:30 A.M and drank some more broth. Only soreness I have is where my port is at. I pray that each of you that get banded don't go through all the pain other banders have mentioned. My husband stopped every hour on the way home and I got out and walked 10 minutes. I made sure I did deep breaths and coughed every 10 minutes. Only bad thing after surgery was cotton mouth (dry mouth) I drank allot of water on the drive home. Good luck to all you soon to be banders.

Well tomorrow is my big day. Excited and nervous. I keep telling myself that it's a tool to help me and a big life change.

I'm wishing I could be open about getting banded. I lay here on one of my sisters couch and think its very weird that my little sister that is very overweight is supportive of me getting the lap band but one of my older sisters is so negative that I have been a royal pain in the butt to her which isn't right. I've really been mean and rude to her. I apologies to her but I turn around and do it again. She isn't skinny, she gained weight since I seem her last. I believe in healthy and natural but I believe that if I need help I'm gonna ask for it. Why can't she be on board with me and just be HAPPY for ME!!!? I'll be glad to go home after my nieces graduation and I'll be glad for my older sister to leave for her home, then I'll go after she leaves a few days later for my surgery. I'm still looking forward to it. I'm glad I found lap band talk. It's my support when my husband is away.

That link is for a free download. It has lots of good recipes and also of you look up the Mediterranean diet, the mayo clinic explains why it's a great diet to follow. You get the good fats and the breads you need.

I live in Arkansas too. Not to far from Fort Smith. I will get banded May 30. I'm doing my pre-op diet now. I would love a banded buddy.

My surgery is May 30. I had the edk and my surgeon found a hernia (he said when he bands me he will tack it down) I'm starting my post op tomorrow (he said I could start early to help myself). I live in Arkansas. Very excited and nervous. One of my four sisters doesn't support me getting banded so I told her I won't discuss it with her. NO NEGATIVE is allowed in my life for now on. One sister won't talk to me ( been years), one sister is excited for me and the other sister I didn't discuss it with her. They all live out of state away from me. I have no family around. I'm using this site for my support and my husband for my support.

I just had a meeting about what to expect when I have my lapband and I was told to do the Cat hump. Get up on all fours and hunch up your back. Also gas-x strips or liquid will help also. This is what I was told. I'll be having my surgery May 30th, 2013.
