Had my 3rd fill today up to 5 1/2 cc. Liquids 24 hrs then mush for 24 hrs and I AM STARVING! My fills give me no restriction.

I did not have to do one! The only reason I can think is that I went through a private Dr. and also my insurance didnt ask for me too? Really not to sure. I didnt want to ask and then have to do it! LOL

I also had my first fill today 3cc. Also need to burp...lol. I keep waiting for something to happen, I dont know what...LOL. Just something. Next fill in 2 weeks! How about you?

You write very well! I enjoyed reading your post, however sorry to hear how it was a rollercoaster of emotions! I say this...there is always someone who even see's a skinny person as fat! It sounds to me you have done an amazing job and with no fill? That is truely inspirational! Thank you for sharing! I will one day also get into the XL gown!

I am 3 weeks post op and had ALL of the same worries! I have had a few bad days here and there, but not any thing worse than what I was already experiencing because of the weight! I did not have to follow a pre op diet and just since my surgery 4/22 I have gone down 14 lbs (never in my wildest dreams did I think possible). I havent really wanted the things I used to eat. Not sure if I have brainwashed myself for the fear of "if I do" what will happen???? I couldnt be more happy with this decision I have made. Although I do still have some concerns! I just started solid foods and now I am worried, "what can I eat? Will this make me sick" so on... From the feed back I have gotten is; every one is different and to try things even if they may not work for someone else they may be ok for you (low cal and high protein of course) lol. Your body will let you know if you have made the RIGHT choice. I get my first fill next Monday and thats my "next" worry! Good luck you will be ok. Its almost like having your first baby...you deliver...get home..and then say to yourself..."now what"

Thank you for your imput. I do not have a dietician (trying to get my insurance co. to cover). What I am wondering is; this talk of not being able to have bread, I understand it has alot of carbs, however what about soybean bread or things of that nature? Is it because it gets stuck or is it because of carbs? What is the ingredient in bread I need to avoid, so that then I could try other dietary things within my calorie count?

I have been on mush for what seems like an eternity and very hungry. I FINALLY get real food on Monday and have no idea what to eat I will have my first fill next week. I am a paranoid about food now, I have literally been starving myself because I feel like it will be harmful to eat.... (wow that sounds bizarre). Wish I could have had that mentality before being banded...lol. I do have a recipe I would like to try for my big day Monday of solids...just not sure.

Can you choke/suffocate in a sense from it?
