I also used My Fitness Pal and it was a great tracker app! For me diet cherry coke and crystal light helped me get past my desire for any sodas. Giving up sweet tea was the really tough part. We only make decaf tea at home and because I have to strictly limit my artificial sweetener intake, I've just stopped making it all. Just can't drink unsweetened, lol.

I was banded on 5/1 and my third day post-op was possibly the hardest. So much gas and air pain but I kept walking, took gas-x and Tylenol rapid blast and made it through to the other side. Just some incision site pain now but its mild and manageable. Best wishes!

I was banded on 5/1 and had the same problem. Walk, walk, walk and use gas-x like hely said. It's usually caused by residual trapped air used during surgery but it will pass. It's uncomfortable but it really does get better.

Are you still on clear liquids and have you been walking a good bit? Could be residual gas pains that are just working their way out.

I had mine May 1st. This morning was the roughest time so far, as I had terrible gas pains this morning. Prior to that it was just some gas/air in my chest that caused discomfort. I used gas-x and my liquid phenergan to get me through. My doctor also prescribed liquid lortab and I've tried to use it sparingly. They also suggested Tylenol rapid blast but its been recalled. We got the CVS brand and it has worked even better than the lortab. I've eaten some jello and chicken broth over the last couple of days but haven't had much of an appetite. Just making sure to get up and walk and sip my water! Good luck to you all!

I was banded on May 1st and I have to say how happy I am to have this app on my phone! I was nowhere near prepared for all the pain and side effects I've been through in the last 3 days. Like you, I also have MS and it was a big part of my decision making. I lost 14 lbs pre-op and I'm looking forward to seeing my results at my two week follow-up. It's a struggle with the pain right now but I know it's all going to be worth it! -
I'm three days post-op today and had the same feelings. I was in so much pain (gas and belching) this morning that I was questioning my decision. After some gas-x, peppermint tea, an ice pack followed by a heat pack, I am finally feeling ok. I also used some Tylenol rapid blast (suggested by my Dr) and the liquid phenergan. Once I could stand up without doubling over or dry heaving I've just been walking as much as I can stand. I know it's only going to get better from here.
