I met my Dr the first time the day of surgery.I just wanted to hear from someone that knows what its like mentally to go through the changes that a fill gives. Is it a good fealing or did you get depressed because you couldnt eat like a normal human being any longer. was it a drastic difference? Ater I reach a happy weight can i get unfilled? And if I start to gain go get filled again ?

I may be getting my first fill this week also.I am wondering if im gonna feal deprived all the sudden?? Im really dreading it. I hear people on here say they can only eat 3 bites of food. I alwayss thought half your plate should be veggies.now i hear eat protein . Im just worrried. I wonder do i have to get a fill if im losing? can i get a small fill so i can still have a half of roll now and then? PLEASE just tell me what to expect in my future.Ive never met a lapbander. Thanks

I was banded a week and a half ago and I had severe costipation and had to take a dulcolax suppository and lay down a Half hour then it worked.Id strongly advise you to start a stool softner if you dont go in 2 days.thats the worse part for me and i was sore.Now i feal fine.good luck

I got banded a week ago.keep a bag of ice on ur stomach for the swelling.im still sore.take a small pillow in the car with you to help with the bumps in the road.you shouldnt need a lot of pain meds after the first dew days.I dont need any.Ive used ice and a heating pad.Its not as easy of an operation as they say at all.Im still shocked.I thought it was gonna be a peice of cake.NOT!!! Im like you I just hope this gets better.I feal like my health is worse. And I am eating now because my Dr. said i could.Oh yeah make sure u get a stool softener/laxative in you right away or it will hurt so bad.I had to send my dad to get dulcolax suppositories it was so bad.I hadnt went in a week.just a heads up dont let yourself get constipated.

Hi i saw your post about protien shakes.I was banded a week ago, and like you um not a milky person.Does everyone that gets the lapband have to drink those things for life? Im seriously concerned. I cant imagine drinking liquids the rest of my life.I havnt had a fill yet and am thinking about not getting one,since i can still eat and drink ok. I weigh 210.whats your opinion?
