So I'm 4 months out and 40 pounds down. I've started (finally!) to notice differences particularly in the size of my clothing and how things fit...and I admit that I've taken to standing naked in front of the mirror...(something I can say I did NOT do before...avoided that at all costs...) And so far...my weight is coming off in my boobs (Boooo!) and my stomach. I confirmed it with measurements... What I want to know is when that lower belly...(Ooooh that overhang lower belly that is just killing me) is going to depart. With my luck it will be the last thing to go. Where are you shedding your weight?

April 24th. I like that the weight comes off slowly enough that I occasionally get really surprised by unnoticed changes. There is one pair of pants I'm always sucking in my gut to put on...and then I realize...I don't need to suck it in anymore....they fit fine...and are actually getting too big! You need to put on a shirt thats a little tighter so you can start to see your shape change...you'll be amazed!

Ouch...(understatement of the year...) That looks so painful. I do hope you heal quickly and I'm glad you have a doctor taking care of you.

We are about the same time out from surgery and have lost about the same amount. I can see it. In fact i ran and looked at the mirror thinking...wow...she's shrunk!...have I shrunk that much? Awesome job.

I really love your story. And can I just tell you that your before/after photos are amazing. You look like the teenage daughter of your "before" self.! And I also have to tell you that I've already started looking at designs for my future tummy tuck scars. I've seen some really beautiful cherry blossom branches artwork that I'm leaning toward...

I did not get weighed on surgery day. But I was during pre-op that happened about 4 days before that. I wish I had done a self weigh in that day...

I was going to ask a similar question. I feel pressure even a little discomfort/pain around my port when I'm exercising these days. I find myself holding on to that area to make it lessen. I don't know what its from...maybe its bouncing around in there? ha ha. So, I'll be interested in reading what kind of responses you get here!

I play that game with myself all the time. I still have 100 pounds to go. I mentally have to talk myself into the idea that I can do that. When I met with my nutritionist a few days ago and he told me I'd lost 31% of my excess weight he told me that was right about where people STOP losing. Freaked me out...so I'm determined to keep working hard.

Way to go! 50 pounds is really an accomplishment!!!
