    One year later!!!!

Congratulations! I can't see your attachments...I was hoping there were pictures, but your excitement comes shining through!
  2. You look fantastic! Great job on the weight loss...the 5K and Yay for good friends. Happy Bandiversary!

    Great tip

My best tip...have kids that demand all your attention so you can't eat anyway. I need to invest in a few dessert plates. I use salad plates now, but they are still really big and sometimes I get that longing to just fill'er up!

    I watched a video

I'm also a needle phobe and its painless. My doc gives me a local anaesthesia first that burns just a little, but I can't feel the fill needle at all. And I have zero pain after its over either.
  5. Fill #2 on Friday! Woot!

  6. I've been wondering what my first NSV might be...essentially trying things out that I couldn't do or was way too afraid to do before....well, we hit the pool today (me and my two little munchkins) and I was able to easily get in and out without having to use the ladder! I haven't hoisted my body up like that for a loooong time... The best part was that i didn't even think about it until i was already out of the pool. I just did it. When it hit me i just stopped in my tracks and if i was less worried about looking like a crazy lady i would have danced a little jig right then and there. It made me all the more motivated. I've been exercising too...running and Zumba have helped me build up my muscles and I know that's partly why it happened so naturally. Loving this and can't wait for more!
  7. I'm finding weekends tend to be bad for my food choices...

Who has a blog of their Journey!

Me! http://fat-and-sassy.blogspot.com/ I'll definitely add both of you to my blogroll!

    First NSV...

Awww...thanks! That's part of my, "I made this choice" behavior. I suppose I could complain all day long about missing my salt and vinegar chips, but what a waste of my energy! . I'll save it for a kick butt Zumba class.

Ever have one of those days

I was boredom eating nightly...so I upped my bedtime to curb it. It's hard to slough off old habits. Kudos to you for recognizing it...now take an extra walk to help with the extra calories.

    Harder than I thought

You got some great advice...heck, I got some great advice reading all these. You didn't mention it, but are you exercising? That will kick start some weight loss and help you rethink food. Or at the very least...burn some of the bad calories you take in!
  14. Hot and muggy = pool day!

  15. You've got to be feeling amazing! Gret job!!

    A nice NSV yesterday

Catfish...I love your exuberance for life! And I love that you showed them a photo! Lol Great NSV, by the way!
  17. You look fabulous! I love your simple follow the rules plan. Big thumbs up.

    Down 75lbs

Wow! It definitely shows your hard work! Looking really good! You should take pictures more often now!
  20. I like the idea that the band is a personal trainer. I've been more cognizant of what goes into my mouth, how much I'm exercising and how I'm feeling in the past 2 months since being banded than I ever was when dieting. I am not in the green zone yet so it really is harder work then I was expecting. But, I just have to keep doing my part if I want to see the results...I know that. Aftercare is HUGE. If I didn't have this forum I'd be floating out there with hardly any answers. I really agree with the idea that lack of aftercare is a big part of the failure rate.
  21. JhonnieB...Awesome! Can't wait to see those progress pics! 66 or 77 pounds in less than a year is NOT slow weight loss! Way to go on an amazing amount of effort that has really paid off!
  22. I exercised 5 days this week! #doingmypart

  23. Great job! I'm also 2 months post op and haven't lost nearly that much! your good work is inspiring!

    Carbinated drinks

I'm 2 months Post op and tried a sip of a diet coke just a couple of days ago. It was awful. Felt awful going down and it felt awful until my stomach settled. That makes it easier for me to choose not to drink them, I suppose, but I do miss my coke zero.
  25. Woohoo! Great job! super excited for you!
