European companies all go to big cup sizes. Used to pay 150 for a custom bra, the local shop here carries these for like 40 to 60. They even carry up to o cups, crazy!

I just wanted to share my nsvs with everyone, first, drop in blood pressure from 140 range to 105 range, yay! Second, I went bra shopping and have lost 4 inches in band size. The crazy part is, even with almost 30 lbs lost, I've actually gone UP in cup size! From a 42H to a 38I. My husband is incredibly happy, he even did a little dance ( can you tell he is a boob man?) but I am kind of bummed, I was hoping I would lose some of the ladies! No cute bras for me, only thumb thick underwires lol.

Don't get me wrong, I like having boobs, just would be ok with some dd, you know?

The only kind I can wear is goddess brand, they have sports under the name elomi by goddess, and regular style. Only one that works for any type of support for me (I was a 42 H until this weekend when I got remeasured and changed to a 38I) here is a link. http://www.biggerbras.com/elomi-bras/elomi-energise-underwire-sports-bra-8040.shtml

Losing weight before sugery
britt140 replied to ready4myboys's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Only the homeopathic over the counter stuff was banned. The homeopathic stuff was deemed fraudulent as the companies made wild unsupported health claims, which is essentially what the fda regulates. True hcg is still used and widely available, and prescribed for many things from fertility to weight loss. My doctor had me try it several years ago and it really does work for short term weight loss. I lost 60 pounds in 60 days with it and the prescribed diet of about 400 calories per day. The hcg helped keep you full, although it was not sustainable once I was off the hcg, I was never once hungry while on it, and often ate much less than 400 calories without even trying, or becoming hungry what so ever. I ended up keeping the weight off for about 6 months and then it crept back on. -

Hcg is not human growth hormone. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_chorionic_gonadotropin. -
I made some delicious shrimp tacos tonight and wanted to share the recipe with you all. 4 ounces raw shelled deveined shrimp 1 tbs onion 1/4 tsp butter 1 tsp shredded cheese 1 tsp guacamole or plain avocado 1 tsp sour cream 6 inch tortilla of your preference A wedge of lime or lemon Sauté onion and butter until soft then add in shrimp and sauté until shrimp is cooked through. Toast tortilla in dry nonstick pan. Layer all ingredients on tortilla, shrimp then cheese then the rest, and top with a squeeze of citrus. Delish! And my fitness pal clocks it at around 250 calories and 22 grams Protein for one taco. Enjoy!

How big a bite are you taking? I usually eat bites no bigger than my thumb nail, and I like my tacos very moist with sour cream guac etc, then I chew at least 30 seconds before swallowing, even have a timer.I think for me the fresh ones break up smaller, where the pre packaged ones don't even with all the chewing. Don't know if you might try it again or not. I should also mention I am a month out and only one fill in, but still definitely in my green zone as far as restriction.

I live in Texas, so I get them fresh, still hot off the maker at the store, and chew really well. I think them being super fresh helps a lot. I've tried the pre packaged ones and cannot do that myself either.

First Fill - How much did you get?
britt140 replied to Redesigned_Curves's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I had 4cc at time of surgery and first fill 2 weeks later of 1.5 for a total of 5.5. I am really happy with this amount, full for 5 to 6 hours on half a cup to 1 cup of food. My doctor has me scheduled for my second fill at 4 week mark next week, but I think I will decline it and just use the time to talk nutrition. -
I decided I would be happy at 140. I also bought a party dress in my goal size(medium) on sale and have it hanging in my living room as everyday inspiration. I am 5'7 and 140 would put me at a bmi of 22.
-
I was given 3 weeks by my doctor.
-
I drank them from day one, even had a frappe on the way home from the hospital, but it would take me 2 or 3 hrs to finish. My doctor told me to just keep sipping. Call yours and ask what they reccomend.

I've lost about 25 lbs and people are starting to notice, mostly in my waist. Also, my wedding ring is getting really loose!

You look fantastic! -
Gas x strips too. Mine felt exactly like that but I had hernia repair too. Walk walk walk, it helps the gas
-
Did you have a hernia repair too?
-
I have united and they were a breeze

Corn starch gets things really crispy, while still being a very thin coating. You might try that.

I wouldn't say it's not normal to have a fill that quickly, my doctor gives 4 cc in band at surgery and first fill 2 weeks after and more every 2 weeks until you reach green, I am with true results austin, and my pre op conference had 40 ppl in it, so lots of patients here. My doctor also told us we could drink while eating, just wait 90 seconds after a bite to do it. Follow your doctors advice, and ask questions! Read a lot too!

looking for someone to talk to for support
britt140 replied to KH24's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 27 and chose band specifically because it is adjustable and that's good if you need it during pregnancy. Pm me if you want to chat. I had surgery 2 weeks ago, down 21 lbs already -
