    You need to learn more at orientation. It's not a diet - both surgeries require a lifestyle change. You can fail or succeed at either. If it were the same as any other diet - insurance wouldn't be paying thousands to have it done. That's a joke, my insurance paid nothing for my sleeve. I paid out of pocket. Almost 12k.     You can also Google the different airlines and they will say how big their seats are and their seat belts. We just went to our Marine graduation in California from Missouri a few months ago..and I'll be honest, I made myself sick worrying that I wouldn't fit. I did...tight...but I did.
