After you have the sleeve, what would cause you to not like certain things you used to like before. I'm starting my 8th week out and there are a couple things I loved before hand but now..yeah, not so much. Does this type of surgery mess with your taste buds too? Nope, I'm right at 7 weeks out. We're truckers and fueled at a loves truck stop about 2 weeks ago and I walked passed the hot dogs..not to be gross, but I threw up a Lil in my mouth. It was the most disgusting smell now. I don't think I'll ever be able to eat another one. And Water..see, before surgery I drank at least a gal of plain water a day, now...I HAVE to have flavor in it, can not drink it pain anymore. Good luck and we'll get though this, slowly but surely. I agree, I've been wanting/needing the surgery for a few years, hubby is 5'5" about a buck 140. He just didn't want me to go under the knife as he put it. But this year things changed, my last visit to my pcp, I just had my by annual bloodwork done and he basically said I needed to get all my numbers down because he was afraid of me having a heart attack or stroke. I DID NOT tell hubby this until after the surgery. He was upset but us know, it's over and done with now and he knows I'm happier and couldn't be prouder of me.
