So tomorrow is my 2 month bandiversary! i feel like i have come a long way.. the way i feel.. how i eat... how my clothes feel.. i recently went back to work on June 10th and while the scale is still moving it has gone slower.. so i said to myself okay.. that's prolly normal, give my body time to catch up or something... I have had a few NSV's at work to make up for it and well just simply amaze me and some of my co -workers... I am able to get up with my alarm and get to work.. not feeling as tired or sluggish before... one of our providers told me friday "Jen you need to buy new shirts these are swimming on you" .. and the best accomplishment yet.. we have a set of stars that are two full sets.. before i would huff n puff and have to stop to catch my breath so i avoided them like the plague... i got up them with not so much huff and puff! I love it! The little things definitely help keep my motivated and once again i stop to ask myself "why didn't i do this sooner!" Thanks for letting my post my wonderful accomplishments thus far!! What are yours?

BandtoSleevechick replied to jenns_history's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
my dr originally wanted me back 8 weeks out...in the end it was only 6 ( i had a trip at the end of may or i would have pushed for a week sooner) however i am glad i had those weeks off because for the first 2-3 i wouldn't have been able to do much at work anyway -

perhaps starting a journal will help ease your thoughts or even going to a support group in your area? Anything to get your mind off the anxiety.. goodluck! -

Welcome!!! I know i got a list of group meetings from my dr. office but being honest.. i never go because i don't write it on the calender for a visual and i usually end up forgetting about them until a day or two after.. so i get the majority of my support from here (from other banders) everyone has been wonderful!! Goodluck in your journey!

BandtoSleevechick replied to Deed2u's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine does but that's when i toss and turn and sleep on the left side at night.. also when i dont move for a while like going for my walk or even strength training can irritate it.. i just take a couple tylenol and go on about my day -

Tiny Dishes, Scales, and Portion Control
BandtoSleevechick replied to Cwalband's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use small dishes and after i cook something i portion it out on the scale between 4 n 6 ounces if its all mxed together in a small freezer container.. ( its just me at home so i always have leftovers when making something yummy) as for the bowl thats a good idea to take it with you when u go out... i never thought of that.. i also switched from my big dinner plates to the salad plates to.. looks like its more.. and you know im not missing a thing -
Thanks!

I would ask her and i would tell her how it makes me feel.. I say its an insecurity when people feel they need to be better then everyone else PLUS you have a new identity and like one poster had said... she might be used to being considered "the skinny one" and once u find your identity she might feel she is loosing hers... it's also her loss on not asking how you are .. getting to know the new you! congrats on all of your hard work!
