Another really good one for Aussies is in Facebook. Calked "Gastric sleevers Australia". It is a closed group for members only. Anyone thinking if being sleeved, is waiting to be sleeved or who has been sleeved can join.

Thank you, yes I am stoked to have lost that much in 7 weeks... And I haven't even started exercising yet... Hope to do that this week. Have had some house guests for past 3 months.. So not much room in our place for me to WATPs ! But I'll get into to it soon! :-) -

Hi, I'm In melb Victoria. I was sleeved 12th nov. so almost 7 weeks ago.. And I am thrilled to say I am 18.5 kgs down! Dropping clothes sizes is a wonderful thing. Having energy is a wonderful thing.. Having my sleeve is super wonderful! -
I'm in Victoria (Australia) and booked in for 12th Nov. have been on optifast just over a week now and lost 4kgs! Butterflies beginning to surface, but not looking back... Can't wait to be "a new me" with a healthy and much slimmer future! Love to hear from some Aussie sleevers... :-)

How can I upload a before photo and how can I change my weight details etc to kgs on my profile, and how can I put a "ticker" on there... -
Sorry to see you have had troubles eating normal foods, so long past your surgery date. Did you chew your meatballs super well, did you eat the bun? I'm not sure I'm looking forward to that happening.... Have you spoken to your dietitian or doctor about this??

Sorry ...that's Gastric Sleeve Support! Not forum ...

I think that's a GREAT IDEA, no offence to the rest of the world....it would be great to read more local experiences, without having to scan through the multitudes of o/s posts. Weights in kgs not pounds! Etc. there is one called Gastric Sleeve Forum..it too is a worldwide one..but I must have only registered for Australia or something, as it seems. Most posts are from aus. Cheers

Hi from Victoria...welcome to the forum...I'm only on day 11 post op...and so far everything is going along really well... I ate a poached egg for breaky this morn...chopped the life out of it and I think it took me around 35 minutes to eat it, but did leave a little for my dog! But it was good to taste something other than purée food..

Fantastic work ! You have done so well and in only 3.5 months...this is very encouraging! Thank you for sharing this...

Hi Everyone, I am new to this forum. I have previously had lap band surgery with no success, in fact it went pear shaped.. much like myself!. So after some serious consideration... I have decided my life has a long way to go... and Gastric Sleeving it is. ! I am taking a step into my NEW future on 12th November.. 2 weeks from tomorrow.. Feeling somewhat nervous but at the same time.. extremely excited with what will be a NEW ME! I plan on being around for a long time after this operation.. to enjoy my gorgeous Granddaughter (16weeks today) and my Husband and Family... [...] I am having my surgery in Melbourne Australia...

Well this week starts another chapter...dinner last night - vitamised chicken, mushroom and asparagus risotto with shredded Parmesan..mm mmmm ! Not to bad really, had it again tonight. Although I did make the tuna, veg and macaroni from my dietitians booklet...but by the time I made it, didn't feel like eating it, hubby liked it though (unvitamised, of course) I had my drain tube and all my staples removed today, YAY!!! Thought I would give peach iced tea a go for another Fluid option, but nup...didn't enjoy it at all and I usually love it.. Dessert tonight - nestle diet choc mousse, fabulous!!! Feeling quite happy with today...!! :-)

Well done lila, to save me going back on past posts, when did you have your surgery. Where, how much did you start at, where are you now. It is so good to see how fellow Aussie sleevers are going.... Thank you for your post. All the best. Debbie

Thank you....my goal is to lose around 35-38 kgs.... Some may say, wow that's not much, but sadly it is....I almost tipped the 100kgs before my decision to have the surgery. Yes, you may say ...that's not crazy overweight compared to some on here. BUT, I am only barely 5 feet tall.... !! So yes, it is extremely overweight for someone my height. I will be extremely happy if I reach 60kgs, but will also be happy around 65 too...we'll see how things go....I was ecstatic when I broke out of the 90's, last Friday after my surgery... And a very happy and satisfied smile appears on my face each time I see a change in that number! :-)

Wow, Shelley, you sure have a strong exercise program....I have never ever Been a keen exerciser! Maybe that will change once I lose more weight, and my short legs can actually carry the body attached to them! Gosh! Ozeedonkee, you are keen to try the salmon....I was told ONLY anything that will go through a straw smoothly, for the first week. Tomorrow I will move to the next phase, which I have to check in my dietry booklet.
