I am 38 years old, have been(and currently) morbidly obese since approx. 2yrs old. starting weight was 351 and lost 30 lbs to win a weight loss program and lost another 6 lbs after surgery. People have asked 'if you can lose weight, then why the lap band?' Well...losing weight...if I could keep it off, I would be thin obviously. Second reason...after two knee surgeries(right and left) and a very active work environment(construction) the pain was more than I could withstand. For anyone with weight issues, I too have a "back story", but I won't waste time looking back...mainly because I can't wait to see what is in store for me. I am insecure and afraid and the one thing that truly worries me is that this doesn't work. The only thing I want to take from my past is my lord, my family, and everything thats motivated me enough to say " thats it, lets do this !! " If you are reading this I pray for your success and ask that when you DO make it that you don't forget why you started and that you don't stop being a unique, caring, and understanding person. Good luck to you. Never, never, ever give up.
