Happy Tuesday everyone! The day care kids finally got me sick. I've been down for the count for the past 2 weeks. Today I was able to workout for 15 mins! Woo Hoo. I will be back to running in no time!

One of my co workers is having the lap band surgery in May. Since the weather is somewhat getting warmer in the mid west. We have started walking during lunch! I am so happy for her.

I would call your surgeon office to verify this. Every post op stages are different. I had girts and added plain Greek yogurt, Tomato Soups added plain Greek yogurt and sugar free fudgesicles. I did blend my soups during this stage. I hope this helps.

At 3pm I reached 10,000 steps! At 430pm I will be at the day care playing with the kids that is 5,000 right there. Then I wlll work out for 1 hours when i get home. I think I will reach to 25,000 steps today.
Remember to walk, walk, walk and walk. Gas X and therma care heating pads for the shoulder help me. Also I brought plain greek yogurt to add to my soups. As a matter of fact I use greek yogurt in everything! Remember Protein Protein and Protein. You will do just fine. Good luck to you and welcome to the otherside!
Congrats own your decison on getting the lapband. I was banded on May 1 of last year. I am so happy and more importantly I am healthier. We are all here to help you with your journey. Good luck to you and I will see you on the other side soon!
The gas pain was annoying! I just walk, walk, walk and walk. Gas X strips help me alot. Have you gotten the shoulder pain yet? I had left shoulder pain and therma care heating pad for the shoulder help me too. You are doing fine and hang in there.

Don't feel bad my band started making noise during an interview I had last week. I just smile and laughed and told the interview panel "that's my band telling me that I am going a great job!" They laugh and I continue with my interview. You will get use to it.
