I agree with the others. It seems that your caloires in are still too high. And yes, definitely exercise. Even if its walking for 5 minutes and increasing it a little each day. I walk approx. 5 - 6 miles a day, but rarely do I do it all at once. Every little bit helps. Just get up and move

I'd check with your doctor. If you're on liquids right now, you may want to wait before chewing any vitamins, especially a gummy that could get stuck. I didn't start my vitamins until I went on pureed foods, and my vitamins were chewable, so I chewed them until they basically dissolved. -

I'm glad you're feeling better. When I was on liquids, I was told to drink/eat 1 oz. every 15 minutes, including your Water. So alternate, between your shake, water, soup, water, etc. every 15 minutes. It's hard, but doable. As for losing hair, I was banded 1/10/13 and haven't noticed any change in hair loss but I'm sure this is different for everyone. I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you eat right, get the proper nutrients and take your Vitamins, I don't think you'll see anything significant. -
I hope your surgery went well and you are recovering nicely. Congrats on your new beginning

You're going to do great! You fought for this and you will do wonderful. Just do as you're told, drink lots of liquids and move when you can.

I had a partial unfill last week and didn't have any problems. It actually helped me since I was too tight and couldn't eat more than one bite without pb'ing. I'm still losing weight, so it hasn't affected me the same way as it did you. I wish you luck with your sleeve !

I measure everything I eat, but I had to google bariatric plate out of curiosity...lol It's a nifty looking plate. I may have to get one so I know it is MY plate http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.dryadegar4life.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/bariatric-plate.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.dryadegar4life.com/tag/bariatric-plate/&h=600&w=600&sz=43&tbnid=gfCnayOXNwUzCM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=90&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dbariatric%2Bplate%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=bariatric+plate&usg=__XO3HddZnw2zPXlEJguKKiaYxVuw=&docid=YYMI1kvCAQoinM&hl=en&sa=X&ei=0luAUYeeKfHW2wXko4GQBw&sqi=2&ved=0CEcQ9QEwAg&dur=2376

I was only on clear liquids 2 days and then went to full liquids, creamy soups etc. I would suggest checking with your doctor or nutritionist.

The bariatric nurse that runs my support group says "we can tell when you've gone and eaten your last big meal before surgery". Then again, I didn't follow the pre-op diet and they still did my surgery.

Is my band too tight?

I'm not a big fan of plain Water either. Don't get me wrong though, sometimes I crave a big glass of water, especially after I've worked out. What helps me is using water flavoring, like crystal light or mios. I love the raspberry ice and the pink lemonade that crystal light puts out. I also like the blueberry lemonade that mios makes. It definitely helps by making water a little more enjoyable to drink. I'm bad about the chewing also. I really have to think about it more. I'm like you, I think with the doctor taking out the .5 cc's was a little too much, so somewhere close is that sweet spot. Can't wait to get there! -
I feel so much better after my unfill. I'm able to eat, but I can still feel my band restriction. I love my band !

Is my band too tight?

Yep, I'm in The Woodlands. We travel to Dallas sometimes for hockey. My husband's a coach. It's been a couple years since we've been though. -

Thanks. It was wonderful. I was afraid I'd overeat, but I only ate half and was completely satisfied with it. Tonight I'm not even hungry, but I will have some soup after I get back from walking my dogs. It's supposed to rain here this weekend, so I need to get a good walk in before the rain starts. -

I went to the doctor this morning and he took .5 out and I feel soooo much better. He wants me on liquids today, then pureed tomorrow, then softs the next day then solids. I did have a baked potato today though. I was so hungry...lol I mashed it up really good before I ate it and I ate really slow. Everything went down fine and nothing came back up. Yay! -

Patience is key. I had my 2nd fill last week and my band is too tight. It's painful when I eat and everything comes back up. I'm going in tomorrow for an unfill and I'm looking forward to it. So my advice is, be patient. I'd rather go slow and steady than have the horrible pain of being over-filled.

I miss drinking with my meals also, but I've been really good about not doing it. Once in a while I have to take a small sip of water, if I have something spicy or salty, but for the most part, I wait 30 minutes after eating before drinking anything. Also, my nurse told me to absolutely not drink carbonated sodas, it can stretch the band. So you may want to consider letting your diet coke go flat before drinking. That was very hard for me. I love diet coke, but I haven't had one since my surgery. I'm afraid if I have one, I won't stop. -
Not no, but HELL NO! My man is my man and he better stay that way or he can hit the road. It's for better or worse, regardless of the physical situation.

That's great news. I'm so glad that you're feeling better! It also gives me something to look forward to tomorrow. I just hope my doctor doesn't put me back on liquids or anything. I've had a really bad headache for 2 days and I've had very little energy. My body is needing real food. -

How are you feeling today? My band is also too tight and I'm going in tomorrow for my first unfill. Were you able to eat solid foods without a problem yesterday? I haven't been able to hold anything down for a week, other than liquids. I'm looking forward to eating something of substance!
