Hi everyone!!! Im in Manteca,Ca and if approved I will be getting my surgery in Kaiser Fremont CA. I just got the referral sent over and they are supposed to call me today or tomorrow to schedule my orientation meeting! Im so excited and can hardly contain myself. Since attending at least one support group is mandatory could I go to one now before I do anything else?

How was your pain after surgery? I have a 1&2 yr old I'm wondering how bad off I'll be and how long my husband should take off once I get approved etc. -

Same boat!! I have a 1&2 year old and never away from them. Can't wait to get some sleep but I know I'll miss them! Plus since I just had the two of them it seems so I hate staying in hospitals! -
I'm really lucky with kaiser I only have a $500 copayment wish they covered the cosmetic part also!

Ok soda chips gone. I'm trying to get myself mentally prepared for my food funeral! In my famy food equals love and I love to cook home style meals. But I know this is the right choice! I'm 5'4" 236 -

I haven't met with the surgeon yet waiting to be approved to move forward I just know this is a kaiser requirement. I'll give the protein shakes a try maybe for lunches and do a light breakfast And healthy dinner. Looks like me and my treadmill need to become friends again! -

It's the surgeons requirement I have not cal kaiser. I would need to loose 22 lbs. your right though I just have to do it! I have a 1&2 yr old and it's so hard to get the time for myself -

I think you guys have really helped me!!! Verdict for me is sleeve if the surgeon agrees:) I'm so anxious to get this going!!!! -
I was sure I was going to do the band but now that I have done more research I'm thinking the sleeve would be the way to go? Can some of you tell me why you choose the sleeve over band?

That's exactly what I was thinking. I wanted band but started reading up on it and seems like more up kept and more hassel. Also seems the band has so many complications and risks .
