Hey guys remember .. Everything in moderation. Also I have children and they beg for Taco Bell so I totally understand. I think the filling from a taco would be fine. I also made fake pizzas.. I use a flour tortilla and do sauce and cheese and mushrooms and bake and then after slide it off the wrap because I don't eat carbs do to a bad liver. So I eat the melted cheese and mushrooms flavored with sauce and I do fine. We have to find healthy things that fit in our lifestyle. I wouldn't have time somedays to make a turkey taco and truthfully I wouldn't want to.. Lol..

Gotta bill for my surgery...
jessica bowling replied to 1stBabeBorn5th's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery was completely covered but I was scheduled with two other ladies and they had to pay co-pays and things and they both had to reschedule. It broke their hearts. Especially when your health depends on this surgery. Wish it was cheaper for everyone. -

3 days out...
jessica bowling replied to whytesands77's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 14 days out today and that first week is the hardest. I think it gets better once your on full liquids and you get stomach acids under control. I have no issues now and even ate out for Mothers Day. Take it day by day but I know your days will be getting better:) -
What are symptoms of not getting water? I have felt great but the last two days something has changed.. I'm trying to figured out what? I see people say I'm dehydrated.. What are the signs?

I'm two weeks out and have tons of energy. But last night I slept 8 hours and then took a two hour nap today.. I usually get 5 hours max a day. Am I sick or is this normal to get a sleepy spell?

jessica bowling replied to Thatyoungguy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I only drink apple juice. I'm so picky. But my friends are worried.. But I think Tuesday I add more things and that weight will come off slower. I didn't ask what is normal to lose the first week. But my cousin had this and he was 340 and lost 40 the first month and your right on track:) -

jessica bowling replied to nlbossert's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 6 days out and poop all the time!! So sick of it. I don't think it has anything to do with the shakes. I think it's just your body getting use to the change. I actually didn't make it to the commode today and my husband is wondering if this is normal and when will it stop. Lol. I'm saying body changing if not I better buy some depends -

Lol.. Gotcha on the hot and sour:) I'm a really picky eater and I had a mental break down yesterday. Just to much. I have liver disease and that's why I had the surgery so I have been sick for a year and 1/2 and had surgery and can't find anything that I can eat. But Tuesday is week 2 so ill be good then. -
I can't do chicken broth for some reason never could but could do egg drop soup.. Do you think this is a major no no 5 days post op?

When I was banded they told me I wouldn't be hungry either...
jessica bowling replied to marfar7's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor told me that's not hunger but acid. They upped my stomach meds and I'm good. Really.. It's like I have to say dang eat your protein.. Getting the acid under control was major.. Because I thought it was hunger pains. -

jessica bowling replied to buckeyefan1985's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I live in Kentucky and went to Dr. Weiss. He is excellent and people come from all over to see him. He's at Georgetown Community Hospital close to Lexington. When you are having this kind of surgery you want the best! And I feel he is! -
