My dr said no carbonation or alcohol for 6 months and even THEN, open it and let it sit got a few minutes. The alcohol is due to dehydration too early after surgery. -

Hi there! Banded the 16th. I feel great! Still a little sore when walking too far and I am hungry! Doc said to start slowly increasing exercise time and full liquid! Here I come creamy soup! He also said to begin my Vitamin regimin. I also get to have cheese, oatmeal, lunchmeat, crackers, Peanut Butter and some other stuff next Wed! -
So inspiring!

Day 5 post op. I'm able to sleep on my sides. Almost all my soreness is at the end of the day.

Me too! I'm back at work. No pain killers needed! I'm lucky! -
I had surgery yesterday and I am hungry! I want chicken, or pizza, or grapes. I am so lucky! No gas, just soreness from incisions. No pain meds except in the hospital. But I'm hungry for food!

I had surgery yesterday. I had lost 8 lbs on one week diet. This morning I was up 5 lbs, but I think it is fluid.

Wondering what the cost is to have a band removed, if you were self-pay?

I did ask my dr. He said he charged "a couple thousand". Geez! He also said that insurance changes all the time, so maybe your insurance would cover the removal?

I have a packet, but Nut explained "protein first then what good foods will fill up your golf ball". My pouch will be about the size of a golf ball! It was a good analogy to help picture how much food to have. -

May 16! On day 4 of pre-op diet. I have had a headache everyday, bad taste in my mouth, and gurgling tummy! It will be worth it. I told hubby "I can do anything for a week!"
