    Banded and have a question.....

Have you been on antibiotics? Could be thrush. Common with oral antibiotics sometimes

    Slip or stuck

It sort of sounds like your still stuck. Sometimes I think part of the piece that stuck goes down while theres still partially some there....The last time i had a bad stuck I drank a pop and it went down. I dont drink pop ever but I was desperate and someone told me once that it helped expand due to the fizz. I figured anything was worth a shot. Good luck to you, Brittany If you have additional questions I would call your surgeons office....

    Cost of fills...

my fills are done without fleuro and run about 115 dollars after insurance. I find this to be an ok rate especially now that my band is almost at the right fill level. My bariatric nurse does my fills and although i love my surgeon dearly i think she is awesome and truly is my preference for fills. Everyones different

    anybody else have gallbladder issues?

Yep just had mine out a little over two weeks ago. im so happy its gone i feel much better! Good luck to you....
  9. Gasx would be better honestly but you can try it it won't hurt anything it might make you feel better
  10. Reglan is a miracle drug if you ask me. It helps with nausea and tummy pains and also has a secondary action of increased gastric motility. After surgery people are generally backed up so this works in a variety of ways. im a nurse.....reglan does wonders for me. As far as gas pains its common after surgery and you will have them for a while....i suggest gas x strips...they worked well for me

1 Day Shy of 10 Month Bandiversary

Proud of you to!! I agree lap band was the greatest decision I have made to date. I am nearly 8 months out (Christmas exactly) am down 90 lbs. Started at 308 and am now down to 218. im so happy with that. I know I have a ways to go until I get to my goal weight but for once I know im actually going to get there some day. Its been a great deal of work along the way but its a lifestyle change and im never packing those lbs back on. I love all the energy I have and I am determined to kick butt at this journey. Again, Congrats on all your success!! Brittany.

    Frickin Stalls!

How can you be complaining about that kind of weight loss in such a short time...You didnt gain all your weight over night and you wont lose it overnight either. Relax and heal from surgery and forget about weight loss for a little bit.

    Surgery after Band

I just had my gall bladder out 8 months post op. I was full after two bites. My band was tight for a day or so. Take it show it will be ok

    Frustrated

get an unfill...Its one thing if you occasionally have issues but if you cant eat these things on a daily basis then you need to do somethingabout it. I personally would rather practice a little more self control, count my calories, and exercise and have more freedom with how much and what I can eat then be to tight to eat anything. Just my two cents. I probably could use a fill honestly but I am doing ok. I am down 85 lbs in seven months.

    Question For Alex

Sorry to say but I really really want the old site back....
  17. I highly recommend gas x strips. Other than that maybe an abdominal binder. I didnt have one of those and I Think it would of helped. just take advancing your diet very slow....clear liquids right after surgery is advisable. I was on full liquids right away according to my doc but my tummy wasnt ready for that. Don't worry about not being hungry for a while...Hunger will come. Rest and let your body heal. Dont worry about the stupid scale for a little while.

    Body by vi?

I do shakeology and i actually swear by the stuff...It is expensive to....i drink it every morning for breakfast and i really do think it helps!

    Fish Oils

if you do have problems I think you can get fish oils in a gummy if it comes to that.

    Sort of depressed/sad/scared

I honestly eat everything. Just lesser amounts and I use portion control by weighing out my stuff and measuring. I enjoy counting calories....its something I can actually control and work with and learn to make the most of....id say a cruise would be no big deal as far as eating goes. The only thing that may change is you might not lose weight....well who cares your on vacation right!! Work your butt off in the gym when you get back Good luck to you and relax...There is a learning curve to this but it just makes starving yourself to death tolerable (How else would some of lose over half our body weight???) ...The rest is hard work and dedication....

    FUNNY comments...

Yeah scary to imagine how short Ill be when im at my goal weight...Almost half way there though! the last month has been a lil slower and I know its due to diet and a dreadful snow storm we had here where i had to destroy my food week by living at the hospital for 36 hours straight lol....the cafeteria didnt hold many options and i wasnt in the mood to count calories...

    FUNNY comments...

My bariatric nurse told me LOOK your shrinking!! I have to say that was the funniest....she thinks her patients look shorter and littler as they lose weight...it was funny but strange...Im already very short lol Regardless....shes amazing Brittany
  24. I would add a few more calories...Something protein rich for breakfast (I drink a shake every morning and I know it helps) might help give you the boost you need especially if your a runner. Its kind of about throwing your body off...Have you considered adding swimming to your exercise routine to or something like that. I love the elliptical and its helped me get 70 lbs closer to my goal but ive added other things now like weight training, exercise DVDs, swimming and classes...I have found I lose the most weight when im changing my exercise routine the most, staying within my calorie goal, amping up my protein. One thing I also notice is when I have a very good week I dont always see very good results until the following week on the scale. Good luck to you. You look amazing!! I hope I look as good as you when I reach 165 lbs. Im your height and ive been working hard and it looks like you have been to!!!

    Daily calories

That dreadful calorie goal is about trial and error. Sure you can talk to your nutritionist but even they dont always have a solid answer because its your body and it is what works for you. I personally shoot for around 1100 cals a day. I find a hard time staying under at times and Ill admit there are days I eat some of my exercise calories.
