Hello LBT!
I'm not much of a blogger, however reading and seeing so many of your stories has been very encouraging and helpful to my journey. So I figured it would only be fair to you all that I share my struggle and fight to victory as well.
I have pretty much battled with weight gain and weight lost since childhood. I was the fat kid that was never a part of the "in crowd" and the butt (no pun intended) of every mean kids joke. Of course, I eventually grew out of the awkward stage, said goodbye to the coke bottle glasses, and wearing my big brothers t-shirts, and I embraced my new found womanhood, and who I was as a person, rather I was big or small.
As a woman, I found different ways to make myself feel and look attractive. Such as, various hairstyles, makeup, clothes, and anything else I could physically do to add to my appearance. In hopes that it would mask and take away from the weight issues that were still very relevant to me.
Although my husband and others tell me I look nice and compliment my looks. I still struggle with inner thoughts and insecurities that pertain to my weight and physical appearance. At times, I still feel the sadness, and discourage of the little chubby kid I use to be. It is my goal in 2013, that I finally silence the chubby kid, and become a healthier, happier, newer me!
Wish me luck on my journey, and I hope I am able to encourage others the same way so many of you, have encouraged me.
