    Confuscious!

Thanks for the input. I am definitely going to do research and a lot of thinking before I make my final decision.

    Confuscious!

Hi gals and guys, So I just got home from the bariatric surgery seminar and I'm torn. When I initially made the decision to undergo WLS I was 90% certain that lap band was the way I wanted to go. Hard work(which I'm committed to doing) but more importantly, less risk. However, when I talked to the doctors after the seminar and told them the choice I was leaning towards- he left me with these words "I'm taking out more bands than putting them in". So naturally I left more confused as to what I need/want and am now thinking about the sleeve. Any thoughts?? And just a bit o history about me, 29, don't have children (yet) I'm 5'3 and I weigh 231 ish. I need series feedback... Please:)...

    Hello fellow brave ones!

  4. Hi!!! I just joined this group and after reading a couple of threads I know my journey will be a pleasant one. You guys are awesome! So supportive and informative! Brava to you!!!! So... I'm currently in the process of being approved for lap band. Tonight I am attending my first seminar and next week I go for my psych eval, etc, etc. The bariatric center I have chosen seems pretty confident I will get approved, as my BMI alone is 42. Insurance requires it to be 40 or higher. So I'm patiently waiting but mentally preparing myself and obtaining as much information as I can. Ill keep you posted on my progress Xoxo -whosthatgirl?
