Hey everyone....is anyone else having scar tissue pain? I'm almost 6 months out and i've been having a burning/pulling pain every now and then around my larger incision....wondering if anyone else has been having this? What did your doc do for it. Mine wants me to to Physical Therapy (basically $145.00 to have a massage which i'm not sure I want to do, and was hoping i could do something at home) -

Hey just checking in on everyone....June 12th here...I am down 37.50 lbs....only 62.50 lbs to go!!! I just broke a 3 week plateu...which was stressing me out. I didn't have this surgery to only lose 30 lbs is what I kept telling myself! How is everyone doing? What are we eating, what is working and not working? Are you working out...if yes what are you doing? -

This is going to be TMI for some people....but as a woman who has suffered from PCOS and infertility and no natural monthly cycles....I would like to report that I had a cycle start 5 days after my surgery (surgery date june 12) and then I started another cycle today....I cant believe it is finally coming from what seems to be on a normal schedule. I pray that this happens every month so when goal is reached babies can be made without intervention from a fertility specialist :-) -

Im happy to see ur response and a few others as well. Are u working out, more then walking? I assume when doc releases me this coming monday he will still have restrictions on what kind of work outs I can do. I dont lift weights or anything but I do like yoga, pilaties and taebo...I was hoping the pain would go away soon so I could start tighting everything up....dont want to be a flab monster if I can help it lol -

Hey ladies and gents...im 5 almost 6 weeks out. ..I have a question....none of my incisions hurt except the one they pulled the "trash stomach" out of. Is this just me? Its not always sore...but when I workout (still just walking on treadmill until im released) or if i clean the house our do a lityle more...I even notice I get a little puffy in my belly area too when its sore. Am I the only one? What do u do to help? Ive been icing it when it flares up. -

Going back to work in the AM...after 4 weeks off...lots of pre food prep for the week...and getting my timmers set to remind me of when to take my vitamins. I think im ready. Had my 4 week check up today. I am down 20 lbs. Which is great! I put on a pair of shorts today that I bought LAST summer and couldnt fit...still had tags...put them on today and bam...booty looking good (hubby's words lol) im so happy that as of Thursday I can start swallowing more vitamins instead of chewing them. Fluid input is still something I'm very mindful of since I was dehydrated and had to get fluids twice :-( and food is going in good. My only recommendations are to measure measure measure. Dont eyeball it...dont guess or eat until u are full. You cant keep track of ur proteins that way. I know most of us in here are women and idk about anyone else but I want to keep my hair :-). Sorry for the book im just so excited to get back to work...and in a routine again. Happy losing to all...and to all a good night! -

I was advised I couldnt submerge in Water via pool or home bath for 12 weeks. Is this just my doc or have others been told the same? -

For those of u having trouble getting down the protein shakes because they are too sweet...ive done some trial and error recipes and figured out the one I like best is- 8 ounces skim milk, vanilla protein powder of ur choice 1 serving/scoop and 4 ounces of a greek yogurt of ur choice in flavor...I like strawberry with mine the best. It taste like a muted strawberry milkshake. Ive even dropped it all into the blender with a handful of ice. Super yummy and it packs a good punch of protein! -

The texture of jello made me feel yuck...I opted for anything BUT jello! So it is ok if u cant handle the texture. Just ask for something else. :-)
