My nephew is soo nice!!! it was good to see him, his fraternity did a fund raiser chicken dinner, didn't eat fried, had barbeque. Did get a frosty, because they shut all the Wendys down in St. Louis, so we stopped to get my nephew some gift cards and...... Was a very pretty day out, but not too many fall colors, no rain here, so really blah trees, with a few patches of pretty. Have a good rest of night!!! Jane

I will clean out my pantry/sources of goodies, but I going to see my nephew at college today. His fraternity is having a fundraiser so my mom and dad and my neice (my sister and brother in law are already there) are driving down. It is only an hour and a half drive, maybe here in Missouri it will be a pretty fall color drive. I think the Blizzard is okay to have everyonce in awhile, am I right?????? Have a good day!!!!! Jane

Terry, you get a big jewel in your crown for this day!!! I hope tomorrow is better!! I've been thinking about the band and what Kat said about her SIL having one and being quite successful. When I went to the lecture the Dr. said that the band people don't lose as much % of body weight as gastric bypass, but in the long run, it looks like the band people keep what they have lost off better. I guess we are all different. I remember when I first got the band I couldn't understand and felt guilty about the fact that you couldn't help but lose weight with the band, but then the reality of living with it hits me in the face every day. It is easy to eat wrong. I know longer feel guilty about how 'easy' it is, cause it is not. I feel like I am at a crossroad that I have been many times, on the verge of not losing any more weight. I am scared, but am trying harder this time to control things. Does this make sense to anyone or is it just aimless rambling.... Jane

Laura, love the House bit, don't watch it, but customers have told me about it and love it! Tracy and Pamela you both look great! Makes me kinda motivated to get my picture taken, had it taken right before surgery and that is it. Hate to have my picture taken!! It is cold here, I am like Tracy though in not turning on my furnace yet! It is just the mornings that are FREEZING!! Denise, hang in there as a victim of the 6 month funk myself I am here to tell you the feeling doesn't last long, I am almost cured, but like you I will be glad when Halloween is over, too much candy!!! Just ran home from work real fast and sorry to hear of Kat's diagnosis, but if you are going to have cancer, that is one of the best ones to have. My thoughts and prayers are with you Kat and your entire family as you struggle through this! Thanks Terry for the update! My funk is now a very light shade of purple, but I think I might have given it to Pamela and Jennifer!! Good thought and hugs to all!! Jane

Thanks for the well wishes! I was soo scared, I have had two surgeries for the brain tumor and didn't want a third! Plus I figured with my luck, after spending $15,000 of my own money for the weight loss surgery, it would rear its ugly head out of spite!! Thanks again!!!

Private room is an issue with me, I use a c-pap and it is ugly and embarassing! I know nobody really cares, but for some reason it bothers me. Even when I was in the hospital I didn't wan't anyone (medical professionals) to see me with it on! I have spent the night at my parents house with surgery so they are the ONLY ones who have seen me with it. I hide it under my bed so no one ever sees it. I am weird I know. Jane

I have been very lax this weekend in reading the posts. So belated birthday Haydee, congrats on the car Pamela and I was happy to see a cystal light! Kat, when I pm'd you my info I forgot to mention that I have no husband or boyfriend, but hopefully one day soon I will meet Mr. Wonderful!!!! I really haven't lost any weight in the past month or so, I did gain, but then took it off so I am basically back to the beginning. I got an unfill about a month ago, and I think it was too much, so when I go back in a couple of weeks I will hopefully get a fill for the holidays!!!! Can't believe I am saying that, the holidays just seem so far off.... GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went to the neurosurgeon yesterday and the mri showed no new growth!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yea!!!!! It was kind of funny, when I got in the car the song on the radio was "I'm Alright" by Kenny Loggins from Caddyshack! Speaking of songs LAURA I finally heard the song by Incubus your were talking about and it was GREAT! Also do I need to do anything for the secret santa? Well sorry for the long post!!! Jane

Just got home from work and read the posts and congrats Tracy, that is such great news, it must be a relief to know that it is officially over. Had no sweets again today. I was almost going to Sweet Tomatoes (kind of a salad and soup buffet) for dinner, but knew that I would eat some kind of sweets their so I came home and ate dinner. I am getting out of my funk little by little and have a little start on the book that Terry suggested. Have a great weekend! Jane

My funk is turning a lighter purple, and unless I slip up tonight which I am sure I won't NO SWEETS TODAY!!!!! I even went grocery shopping and did not buy anything with sugar!!!! Well today is a new day and I feel a bit better, fell asleep thinking all the positive thoughts you guys have given me. I don't know why this is going on right now. It just seems like I have so much good going on that I try to sabotage it? Anyways for today I will eat no sweets!!! As far as the Dove dark chocolate goes, my dads cardiologist told him to have one a day as his medicine! Maybe I should buy a bag and take my medicine too!! Jenn if I write down all the stuff I eat I would be banned from the board, just know that it is always sugar, and sometimes chocolate and it is usually in the form of candy. I also can't eat one of the art. sweetners, causes bad tummy issues, so I need to find which it is, and avoid just that one instead of all art sweetners!! I also like Judys idea of the chocolate with the Malitol! Thanks again and wish me luck on a non sugar thursday!!! Jane

The past few weeks have been really hard for some reason. I have been eating sweets like they are never going to appear again. I need to stop, I tell myself to stop, but I don't. I tell myself no sweets today, but I still eat them. I had somebody come up to me Sunday at church and said how skinny I was. I am still over 100 pounds overweight, I am not skinny. I said thank you and changed the subject, but it did aggravate me. I thought I was the only one who felt like that. I also had am MRI monday just for a routine check up because I had a brain tumor 10 years ago, and they couldn't get it all because of where it was, so I get it checked out every couple of years to make sure of no growth. I am always a mess before and after til I get to the Dr.s and he tells me it is fine. I mean after 10 years of it not growing, it is not going to start now. I think I am in a blue funk or maybe I should make that a VIOLET FUNK! Terry--thanks again. Jane

I feel like this might be a long post, I have been such a bad bad bad food person the past few days. I haven't been feeling well for the past few weeks and this weekend it really hit me. Now, I slept late today, since I was really sleep deprived, now I can't sleep. It is almost 3:00 in the morning. I need some serious attitude and thought adjustments. I am so jealous of everyone being able to get up early and exercise!!!! I am so frustrated!!!! We will see tomorrow if I gain weight this week.... Well I hope everyones week starts off well!!! Jane

Haydee---my doc says 2 weeks for a vanguard (larger) band and 4 weeks for a regular. Tracy---hope you feel better, but yea for getting up this morning!!!!!! Terry----no smoking, I actually gained a pound in regard to my Dr.s scale in September, but I had more people ask me how much more I lost! I think our bodies do this on purpose to mess with us!!!!!
