I have battled my weight for most of my adult life. It was a constant battle while I was in the U.S. Navy. The last 8 years I was in, I was always on the verge of being kicked out due to my weight. Then, last June, my family doctor talked to me about lap band surgery. I told him TriCare wouldn't pay for it. He said it would and that was the beginning!
I started my "steps" in July 2012 and completed everything by September. My cousin, from Birmingham, was going to come down and stay with me for the surgery. Well, I got sick and then she got sick and well, then the holidays came along.
So, my surgery was scheduled for January 30, 2013. It went well and now I'm on my way.
I had my 1st fill on February 26th and my 2nd fill on March 26th. So far I've lost 31 pounds.
