Ryan, Your post read like a well written novel. I find myself imagining you wife and how well you love her. I think that you have missed what many of us do. Our calling. I personaly would by any book that you would take the time to write. You have a gental since of humor that is as I think you said so elegant. My husband is a wonderful and caring poet. I fell in love with him for the same reason that I am sure your beloved loves you. Your soul was meant to share.

Never goty hiccups... a few belches yes... I was on liquids for two weeks and soft foods for two and then on to normal foods to tolerance.

I am so sorry I did not see your post earlier. Yes propel is water and it's yummy. It has replaced my starbucks habit and it cost about the same for 6 as for 1 chi tea latte. This morning I forgot to eat and by lunch I was starved..(I am a school teacher so I don't get a lunch break until 11:45, Well I went to el pollo loco had thigh and mac and cheese and while the mac went down fine the chicken was horrid. I know, I know proten first yadda yadda yadda but I never had problems before... today the rules won! I wonder if it has to do with the weather...you hold more water when it's hot so maybe you feel more restricted...nope that therory doesn't work it's usually cool in the morning? Well who knows?

My friend had the bypass about 8 years ago just before we met. She looked great. I never asked her about it and one day she said that I should do it. I was offended. I did not want her to think about my weight let alone mention it to me. But I steped back and she said nothing in malace so I just told her that the bypass was not an option for me. Our friendship did not every suffer. I knew her intention was good. I was banded this July and she was extactic and now I get it. Sometimes she's the only one who gets me...outside of this forum. She and I have grown closer, however I choose my own time and place to get this done and when I acctually decided to do this I really did not have our first conversation in mind. I don't know if this helps you or not...but on the chance it does I thought I would post it... Good Luck

LJ, I am so glad your wife had a simular experience to mine...Dr. A. Rodriguez is wonderful. He sat with me after my surgery and even had adrianna his assistant take my mom out for lunch. I felt very comphy with him. His bed side manner and after care is wonderful. Call him or patti L. and they will either call you right back or talk to you then. Be sure to ask what kind of band your wife has. I have the Swedish band and it holds more liquid so don't be surprised when you read that everyone here is getting 1cc and he say your wife is getting 3cc's ...(that was one of my recient questions.) Well good luck and please tell Dr. Rodriguez I will see him in dallas on the 13th of next month!:cool:

I haven't had a fill yet and I suppose I am one of those lucky ones who band has a mind of its own... In the morning not hungry at all...in the afternoon when my stomic is growling I can only eat half a sandwich but in the evening I can eat almost anything and it is pure will power and Propel water that keeps me from the fridge. I can't wait until August 13th.... 3cc Yea me!

Hi everyone! Well I have been at this new life of mine for a month or so now. I think I did it all wrong. I was on liquid for about 1 week and 1/2 and then soft food for 2 weeks and now I have been eating food normaly. Not the same amount but the same food. I talked to my advise person and she said I should still be on soft food. but I have no problem with regular food...did I streatch this thing out? Today I am going back to liquids... I still have restriction. I feel full on a child's plate of anything. like yesterday I had 2 chicken strips and I was done. When about an hour later I tried to eat my 3rd piece I pb I think is the term. I wasn't hungery but worried...strange I did the exact opposite thing that I thought I should have. I guess that is another one of my triggers... eating when I am scared. I want so much for this to work and from what I am reading and seeing in the mirror it is. I have lost twent pounds. Although I have been here for the last week my clothes are getting looser and my husband and friends are noticing, that always helps. I was walking and doing tae bo everyday until the old knee injury flared up and I had to start taking the anti inflams again.... the whole reason I started on this journey in the first place was that my doc says that I need to loose 1001ls or my knees will continue to have problems. I am sorry for whining. Any advise is welcomed! Rica

Well of course I called my Dr. and he said it was the right amount for the swedish band and He said I could have more but he is coming to Dallas so that he will be in an office and not doing it under flouro.

WHippledaddy, Your post brought tears to my eyes. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Your wife sounds as if she loves you the way you love her. Sometimes our insecurities manifest themselves when our mates make a change. My husband met and married me when I was at that time my all time high of 270. I then since our marrage went up to 299 and now I am back to 269. He never wavered a day when I was going up and now that I am comming down I notice I must remind him all the time that he is the reason that I have the strength to do this and whether I weigh 300lbs or 180 my love for him will not change.
