So I was feeling kind of sad...being broke this X-mas. I spent all my money on the band and I usually am not that selfish. I go and see my family in Texas or I take my Hubby on trips. So I am looking through the old pics and I realize... like a flashlight going on. I was not selfish. I can walk now without worring about my knee. I can climb stairs without loosing my breath. I have become a better me for my hubbie. So now I am not so sad. I am infact quite glad I am broke this xmas. ....but next year I am taking the new me in the new bikini I plan to be able to fit back to the sun and fun of the carribean. I hope everyone had a wonderful X-mas and a safe and happy new year...remember be good to your band...

No I am sorry sweety I am not being clear... yes I eat cake and ice cream and sushi and everything I ate before with the exception of bread... I gave up bread because it hurts! I try not to eat the above mentioned because they slow the process but I am not dieting anymore. This is a life style change that you will do at your own time. The more you change the faster you will lose. But if you want it to be slowere its all under your control. The thing that it did for me was it gave me the ablity to STOP! I did not have that mechanism before. I could eat all day and night... now it will make me sick. I hope I better explanied it.

Leigh, Here's the deal... you are still going to be you. But if you want your life to change, this is a tool to help you change it. If your not ready to try then of course you can fail. But give your self a chance. You won't be able to eat the same amount, but you can drink in your calories which is how I kept my weigh higher than it should be. I try to stay away from bread... icky feeling will change the way you feel about things. But I can eat other things in moderation.

Hey Ryan did you see the episode of the biggest loser. They had a race where they had to wear the weight they lost.... It reminded me of your story... congrats on the 50 lbs! -
I get the hair thing too. I don't think people noticed my weightloss untill I had the first 30 gone... so I hope that means that they didn't notice it when it was there:)
-
oops maybe I should have read all the post you have been avoiding her lol
-
I dont' think she means any harm... I only say this because it seem as if she too has a problem and she can control herself... I don't think she is trying to be spiteful as much as eating is probably the way she relates to people and the world. I never realized how much eating I did with one particular friend until I got the band... eating is what we did. Little by little our friendship has slipped away because I don't want to go eat. I tried to explain that I would like to do anything else... but she still took it as rejection. Maybe your answer Lisa is to keep her at arms length (if you can I know it's the office) until she understands that if she keeps talking about food you will have nothing to do with her.

I am sorry to hear about your problems with your health... on the knee I can relate... I too a suplement that glucosimine condroiton that you can find at any store it did a world of good. My knees are as close as they can get to normal without surgery... and now I would not have it if you paid me. ... I hope you feel better. I will pray for your health.

Chrissy, I hope you feel better and I, too weep for the loss of your band...

Kasier would only approve the Bi-pass and it was a very lengthy process... Go luck!

I too had a great experience. As I sit here in my size 16 pants I realize how much a difference it made in my life. My 22-24's are long since given away and I owe it all to the caring Dr. Rodriguez I found in Monterray. This is the same Dr. who took my mom to lunch while I was recovering and paid her way to Mx. The same Dr who just called to check in on me, just because. He answers his phone ...oh and called mmy husband back in california when I came out of surgery. HMMM how many American Drs do the same. I have had slower progress probably because I have to stay in contact by phone and email... however my insurance wanted me to have a bi-pass and wait another year (which I am sure would have killed my knees) I feel blessed...BTW I do need a fill anyone have info for Dr. Kuri I would appriciate it. Thanks!

I am soo glad... It has saved me on many occasions too. glas to see your better today!

Lauri About the brownie you did way better than I, I probably would have ate that peice and then the rest of the pan... I am an emotional eater. Then I would have said "See what you made me do!" lol ') Oh and I am not joking. Then my poor hubby would appologise and not know what he had done. I tell him that my weightloss is my responciblity and he is not to try and "HELP"
