Thanks. I been using fitness pal and tracking everything I eat and drink and I don't even reach the 1200 limit so I think I am doing good with that part. Thanks again for your input.

Ask hubby to help you with these few weeks. If he know its going to be a struggle don't bring the food home. I know my husband called me everyday "What you want to eat" After the third time me yelling nothing I cant have any of that he stopped asking lol But I gave him a big reassuring kiss and hug and told him I am going to need him to work with me on this he agreed now he don't bring nothing home. If he get something after work he eats before he gets here but usually he was eating the portions meals with me for dinner just having a little bit more. Support is everything and you really going to need that in your household. You can do it ! ! ! ! ! If I lost 10 on mine and cheated a little you can to lol Its not hard as you think. Its all in your mind my friend -

Well lets see where to start. Why are you scared? You don't live to eat you eat to live. Did I say that right? Food does not make you but it can ruin you. I can pass my fast food now and not even think about stopping. But I need a fill because the hunger is coming back slowly. I am still maintaining the small portions which is surprising to me. MY family and household is all about food. Eating snacks, junk food but I been really good about it. Yeah I am not going to lie I messed up a few times but not with bad stuff. Maybe took a sip of sprite here once. Its no one business how you lose the weight unless you want to tell them. Me I told everyone at my job my family and friends. Its up to you but I never really see the big deal. I didn't want no one thinking I had cancer or some other disease when I started losing the weight or come back to work smaller that's the first thing people think right LOL -
FUSTRATED, NOT LOSING WEIGHT
cassandramontes replied to BMBeverly's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I kinda figured that out myself. Everyone is different with fills from reading all of the stories throughout the forums lol You think you read and try to know everything about lap band but there is always something that the books don't tell you and that's the different experience that people encounter. So know I know. I might need several fills or one before I make it to the promise land lol I do know I have not had a fill and I can not eat over a halp cup of food. Which is good I think. Thanks all of you for your input I really appreciate it -

I know it takes time to get to the green zone I just didn't know what to expect or how long it will take. I am losing I have lost 21 lbs since June 1st so I think I am doing pretty good. I did do a 2 week post op which consist of breakfast choice of 2 ( egg, waffle, fruit, cereal) 2 protein shakes and 1 small meal with the 6 oz meat and veggie. I do not eat any carbs at all I stopped those once I decided to have the surgery. I am looking forward to my first fill. It may take one or a few but I am sticking with my newly developed eating habits and exercising. -

Let me ask you this. I have been banded about a week, The doctor didn't fill because I had a hernia repaired. My hunger is not coming back but not at full force. I can still get by with my fluids and sugar free supplements. My question to you and anyone else that has had a fill once I get it is that when I will fill the fullness after eating just a little amount? -

I agree with what a lot of the people have said. Its a life style change. I think you made the comment that the doctor didn't say anything to you about calorie counting? Please correct me if I am wrong. usually all of this is covered before the surgery. 2lbs since April first does not sound like progress. I got banded last Friday the 14th and total lost 12lbs. You have to make sure you are not over eating and you are eating the right foods. Have you giving up the sodas, sugary foods, candy stuff like that? If you are still hungry I would say talk to your doctor because the band is suppose to help you control your hunger. Next week I am on regular foods again but now when I do my half of cup of oatmeal in the morning it has be so full until I feel like im going to burst. I am going to have to take down that half a cup. It usually hold me till about 2pm. -

Good to hear from you ! ! I notice I am losing inches to. I can really tell when I look in the mirror and my husband and neighbors notice as well. Hey I will take that until the pounds start melting away like they should. I am not exercising yet and I know once I od that's going to help A LOT. I am going to start walking the track at Gene Green Park with friends on Mon and Thursdays and the other days hit my treadmill here at home. I was able to put on some pants today I had that had gotten to tight for my to even pull over my big butt and button. I put them on easy and button with no problem. Down 1 size -

WOw 25 lbs during pre op that's great. I was so scared that I was not going to lose enough but they say everyone is different and you lose according to BMI. I go for my first fill July 17th. I can feel hunger coming back now but its not bad. I can drink a slim fast and that usually takes care of it. I have no restriction though because the band has not been tighten yet but I can imagine the results once I have my first fill. We definitely all need to plan to meet at the end of July and also maybe get a group before picture. -

How are you all doing? -
What to eat right after surgery?
cassandramontes replied to maddoxam13's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Every doctor is different. I got a list from mine stating what was acceptable. Broth, jello, pudding, protein shakes, sugar free pops. Usually when you do your consultation they give you all of that and being your surgery has been schedule I am surprise you don't have handouts containing that information. -
Banded on Friday
cassandramontes replied to cassandramontes's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor told me that another patient told him that GNC I believe sold protein shots. Not needle shots but a small container of protein that had about 60 grams in it. I think I am going to go look for it on tomorrow. I am still not really hungry and I don't want to force anything and end up heaving it back up which will not be good for the band. -
I finally got banded on Friday. It was a breeze. No problems at all. THE GAS ! ! ! ! Is the killer lol I have taken pictures the night before surgery and I am so excited on this new journey I am taking. his is day 2 post op and I am not hungry at all. Good right? lol If anyone have any advice on how to get this gas out of me fast I would appreciate it.

Who has cheated?
cassandramontes replied to BigOBoy123's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My pre op diet was very good. It was not like most which consist of 2 protein shakes and one meal. in addition to what I just mention I would have sugar free popsicles, jello and veggies and for breakfast I could have my choice of two ( egg, toast, waffle, fruit) I did cheat but it wasn't with bad things I cheated by having a little more chicken or fish and veggies with my meal. I still lost 10 lbs and had my surgery. Just don't cheat with sodas, chip and candy <-----the bad stuff
