Yea, I understand it will be different, I was just asking as far as what everyone else experienced. It says the types of food I can begin eating, but not necessarily portion sizes. I wasn't sure if that was normal for this stage. Thanks though!

I'm on the puréed stage too. This is day one for me. What's the average meal size for it? It says I should be eating 5-6 small meals a day, but how much should I be eating? Lol I'm thinking 1 cup but I'm not sure. Any suggestions?

Awww yay!!!! That's awesome! Yes, everyone is different and each process is different. My surgery went by quick and it was an in and out procedure for me. Some people have to stay overnight at the hospital. I was so groggy from the anesthesia, that I didn't want to even get up from the hospital bed, lol. I fell asleep on and off all day long. I did have pain, but I started walking to help decrease it and now on day 6, the main pain I'm dealing with is constipation . The process will be rewarding, but you will have to try your best with not giving in to the mind games. You're on the way to a new you!!! Congrats again

I'm on day 6 also, but I'm on full liquids until Wednesday. The main thing I'm missing is drinking at a normal pace. I want to drink larger amounts because I feel I'm still thirsty. Some tricks I done to help me feel I'm eating is to drink veggie juice warm and it Tastes like tomato soup. I've been eating ALOT of Popsicles and chicken broth. These things have definitely been helping me get through the past few days. Also, staying busy is a way to keep your mind off of things. Hopefully, these things can help you out some. It will get better

I had my surgery on 3.27.13 and I've felt the gas pains. The more you walk, the more the gas will be relieved...TRUST ME. Try walking with a pillow on your tummy to help with the pain and pressure. I could tell a difference with my walking and gas each day. I'm on day 5 and still experience gas bc I'm constipated I pray that gets cleared up soon (constipation), but I'm hopeful. It will all settle down, you just have to keep moving and possibly try Metamucil or MiraLax to help with constipation. I'm also still on a clear liquid diet with my regimen as they have spread everything out longer. Hope this helps!

Mine was on 3.27.13 and I'm doing recovery now. Although the constipation pain is no fun, I don't regret my decision at all. I knew it wouldn't be easy, so God has me covered looking forward to the new me!!!! -
