Name one thing people would be surprised to know about you
CajunCutie replied to Sunta's topic in The Lounge
When I was young (and a LOT thinner) I took ballet for 8 years and I was a competative swimmer. My mother died when I was 13. She was very overweight and went into the hospital to get her stomach stapled. She never came home. I love playing video games...especially puzzle games. I graduated college last year when I was 28 years old. Everytime I dream and I am in it, I am skinny....never fat. I also think Johnny Depp is sexy. When I was a child I had straight hair. Then when I hit puberty, my hair became super curly and stayed that way. -

I love my Wii!!!! It is great. I love the bowling and tennis. -
It was a great show. You can go to TLC and have them email you reminders of any show they broadcast. This is what I had to do since I can't remember a darn thing...lol. The young girl with all the skin....wow! That scares me b/c I have more weight to lose than her, plus I am 10 years older! But, she looks great now after the plastic surgery.

My boyfriend just told me I limit our relationship.
CajunCutie posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
He told me that I limit our relationship and that he is tired of waiting for me to lose weight. I am not banded yet, but hopefully will be in the next few months. I told him to go find a girlfriend that is not limited by her weight. I am very hurt...and feel like I am worthless b/c I am fat. He has no clue how hard it is to be over 400 pounds and addicted to food. All of this because he wants to go to Disney World next year. And we can't go if I don't lose weight. We can't do a lot of things he wants to do b/c of my weight. He probably thinks this will encourage me...when it makes me want to go grab some chips and stuff my mouth. I had to vent....I am just very very hurt by all of this... -
I am not banded yet, but will be in a few months. I have been reading the boards and I am worried about food getting stuck. I read that many of you "make" yourself throw up. Does your body throw up on its own? Or do you have to put your finger in your throat? The reason I am asking is because I have had the UP3 surgery. This was done for my sleep apnea and involved removing the uvula and some of the surrounding soft palate. So, putting my finger down my throat does not make me throw up anymore. I am worried that if food gets stuck I will not be able to make myself get the food unstuck by making myself throw up. Does anyone have experience or any help with this matter? Thanks!

Disappointed and Venting!

I agree with cvaden, everything happens for a reason. Try to stay positive and everything will work out. -
My boyfriend just told me I limit our relationship.
CajunCutie replied to CajunCutie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thank you all for responding. We have been together almost 3 years. Last night he told me he was sorry for hurting my feelings. He just wants me to be happy and enjoy life without the weight dragging me down. That is what I want exactly! I am lucky that even over 400 pounds, I don't have any serious health problems...yet. I have to lose this weight soon or I will. I have another appointment tomorrow with the Lap-Band surgeon. Hopefully I will get a surgery date. (Please say a prayer that I do.) As for my food addiction, I am taking it one day at a time. Again, thank you all for giving me your feedback and support. -
That is awesome! Congrats!

I'm 28 (turning 29 in June :ohwell:). I am not banded yet, but hopefully will be soon.

I had sleep apnea. I used a CPAP for about 2 weeks. I hated it! I am a stomach sleeper. Those 2 weeks I used it I didn't sleep a wink! I had my tonsils, adenoids and a UP3. (UP3: the removal of the uvula which is the "punching bag" in back of the throat, and removal of parts of the soft palate.) The UP3 worked wonders! I sleep so well now. I even dream, which before didn't happen much.

in laws are coming to town - what to do??
CajunCutie replied to losingjusme's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Losingjusme, I have a few things for you: I think it is wonderful that you have lost almost 100 pounds. I have read your blogs and looked at your pictures. I, myself weigh over 400 pounds and see you as a motivation. I haven't been banded yet, but will be in the next few months. To read about all of your exercise accomplishments is also a huge motivation. If you can do it, I can too! Your pictures show the huge difference and you look great! Please keep us updated on your awesome progress. When your in-laws ask how much weight you lost, tell them that you have lost a significant amount and when you feel comfortable telling them the exact amount, you will. If they have a problem with you not being a small Chinese female, it is thier problem, not yours. If you and your husband are happy and love each other, that is all that matters. Thank you for the inspiration and motivation you have given me! Amy -
I am on a pre-op whey Protein diet. I don't have a surgery date yet, but my surgeon wants me to lose a lot of weight before we even set a date. I have been doing very well on it so far. But, today I can't get food off of my mind. I want Wendys', Sonic, or anything "bad" for me. I was strong at lunch time (it was very hard). But, now all I am thinking about is cheating tonight for dinner. Why can't every day just be easy? I just need some motivation....

Pre-op diet.....it is killing me...
