Losing weight but no fun to be around.....

Thank all of you for the great suggestions. I will definitely talk with my dr about the blood work ups. You know and it truth as some of you mentioned, it may just me not having that coping mechanism of over eating which is why most of us needed the band to begin with. I'm gonna talk with the doc and do some more research. Weighed in today and I am down 138 lbs. : ) ps.....I'm pretty sure it's not an estrogen thing, I'm a guy. Maybe a testosterone thing? Take care everyone....
  2. So I'm ten months out from my realize band surgery and I have lost around 130 lbs so far. I've been having some problems with irritability and it seems like every one is in on it but me. It feels like I can't really control my mood and sometimes go flying off the rails. Anyone else experiencing something similar to this? Is it hormones? Any advice would be appreciated....

    Slippage on Liquids

I would recommend trying to stick as close to that post op diet as you can because my dr said you can seriously hurt yourself if you don't let your band area heal properly. I'm pretty sure the vomiting is what can cause slippage. Follow the diet and stick to the plan.

    abdominal pain

I get some pain around my port area every now and then when I over do it working out or some times just comes out of the blue. It usually goes away after a few days. I would call the doc and have them check it out. He can throw you behind the flora scope and take a look in 5 minutes to give you some peace of mind. Better safe then sorry.
