Good evening all. Day 3 pre op diet. I really thought I was going to pass out this afternoon! Of course I didn't but just ate a couple of dried prunes. Delicious Went out to eat tonight and had vegetables and rice instead of what I really wanted but it was so nice to eat it, it didnt matter. Distracted myself at home by cleaning the kitchen. This may force me into doing more housework! Drank more liquid today as my face had broken out in a rash and bumps, it's a little better. Visited the mother in law tonight. Not a peep of acknowledgement despite the fact I've lost 19lbs in a month! So funny but sad Don't know what her reaction will be when I start shrinking after the 8th!!! Not doing it for her of course, or even telling her, but people sure do show their true selves at times like this......

Hello all. Has anyone had any problems with their facial skin since starting their pre op diet. I've only been on it two days but I've been on 1000 calories for four weeks in the v run up. It's all blotchy and lifeless?

Oh have just converted 64 ounces to litres, and I'm definitely not drinking enough. I've only had about a quarter of that today. ..

Hello Everyone This is my first post, but i've been reading the posts on the site for a few weeks now, and just plucked up the courage to join in. Usual story - a big eater with a huge love affair with food, happy go lucky and outgoing, but started to get very uncomfortable and restricted in my movement. went up to 289lbs and that was it for me. Due to be banded in the UK on the 4/9/13 - so just under 2 weeks to go. pre op diet started yesterday - it's very generous compared to some i've read on here- but started eating healthily the day I met my surgeon 4 weeks ago, and lost 19 lbs since. (i've even been on my bike) I'm very well supported at home thankfully x I cant wait but Im very nervous - but excited. I know its not going to be easy but im in it for the long haul. Cant wait to jump around, get into a rollercoaster, wear heels and have more energy - not all at the same time! looking forward to getting advice and guidance from those who have been there...

Thanks. Have been taking the multi vitamins for two days, was starting to think there may be something in there that doesn't agree with me, but yes, I definitely will increase my water. Thanks for the advice
