    Early june 2013 banders?

Hello All! Almost Happy New Year to everyone! I have been away for a while, but really need to get back... I am doing well, surgery June 14th and down 61lbs. Had my last fill about 3 weeks ago and now have 6.9cc - I am definitely in the green zone. I have struggled with several 'stuck' episodes, not fun at all - I believe bread is the culprit, so it has been eliminated from my diet and is probably a good thing. How is everyone else doing? Anyone experiencing the same things? ~ Kim
  2. That is met too! After a while, must be when my food settles, then the burp will come. Awareness is the key, I have never paid attention the way i do post surgery.... I just listen to my body it hasn't failed me yet.
  3. 9 Weeks Post Op, A little over 2 weeks from my first fill.... and my weight loss has slowed....

    Early june 2013 banders?

Just came from my first fill was banded on June 14th and am down 35 without any restriction. My Dr, brought me up to 5cc, but after the X-ray he felt I was a little to tight, so he brought me down to 4.7cc. Now for 2 days of clear liquids and at least 2 days of full liquids. I'm ready for another jump and restriction as my loss has really slowed down since going on soft foods. Sounds like the Junie's are doing great. Off to support group... Take care!

    3rd fill and still hungry

I had my 1st fill today, 6 weeks post op this past Friday. I have 4.7cc in my 10cc band, he had 5 in and took out a little after taking the X-ray as he thought I was a little to tight. I am back on clear liquids for 2 days and full liquids for at least 2 days after that. I'm ready for some restriction as I haven't felt much recently.

    Day 1

I couldn't agree with you more Royalrags ~ It was hell going through those two weeks, but now that I am 3 weeks post op I see why the surgeon requires it. My mental attachment to food is gone, I look at it in an all different way. This week I started on soft phase of food and boy am I enjoying it, but it doesn't take much to fill me up and give that feeling of satisfaction. How are you doing so far post-op?

    Day 1

Good luck - you will get through it. Pre-op is very difficult but so worth it, believe me! My pre-op was two weeks long and I saw so many changes in myself I can see why the surgeon required it.

    Early june 2013 banders?

Glad to hear everyone is doing so well. I am sorry i have been MIA, my first week back at work was crazy. I am doing great, still on full liquids, can start "soft" foods at the end of this week - I think I will choose Thursday . I saw my surgeon this past Wednesday and he was very pleased with my progress, I am as well. I am out of pain for the most part, I do feel a little pinch once in a while and my back hurts - but other than that I am back to normal. I do not go back until the 30th of July and he will give me my first fill. He warned me that somewhere in weeks 4-6 that i will feel like I never had surgery and will be hungry and able to eat more than i have been, but assured me it is temporary and for me to push through it. As all of you I am ready to "chew" - by the time I can have soft foods it will have been 5 weeks since I have anything but liquids... wooeeee - I cannot believe i have made it.
