I feel like I'm mourning food so I'm eating everything I can. Mental I'm scare after this surgery I won't be able to eat foods that I love. I know it sounds stupid and crazy but it seem like the closer I get to my surgery the more I'm eating. I've gain 15 pounds in a month. My paperwork for approval won't be submitted til June of this year. I don't understand how to stop this mental panic. I was barely qualified for the surgery when I first saw my dr, now I'm almost over qualified. I need to work on this ASAP. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk

Thank you so much for replies. You guys are absolutely right my health is more important. I understand being on a two week diet before surgery is important or else he will cancel my surgery. Most importantly it's time for me to slowly start eating and getting mental prepared for this process. Like I mention earlier my paperwork for insurance approval will be submitted in June. I don't want to be 300pounds before pre-operation diet. I have to mental believe I not saying goodbye to food but saying hello to healthy eating and healthy relationship with food. Well this is relieving that's why I wanted to join this group. This is an emotionally rollercoster for me. I've done everything and it was time. Im just struggling mentally with this new lifestyle. I fear I may go into depression because I'm now not only going to be mentally restricted but physically. Then on the another hand I want my life back! I want to have a HEALTY RELATIONSHIP WITH food. I want to have kids a play with them without feeling tired and in pain. I want to workout and make better choices. I'm a social worker and its so easy for me to counsel other people but most difficult to counsel myself. I'm so glad I join this group! This is important to me to part of my process! Hello I'm a 31 yrs old female and I'm in the process of getting the lapband. I'm nervous yet excited. I have mixed emotions about the surgery because food is an addiction for me. Mentally changing my eating patterns, habits, portions, and quality scares the hell out of me. I'm just in an anxious stage now that surgery approval is near. This was my last alternative, I've done and tried every diet you could possibly think of. Some was successful others not so much. Mentally I would always relapse and the weight slowing came back on. I have lupus and being heavy does not better my condition. Anyway I would appreciate advice, info, thoughts anything you think can assist me in is process. Thanks a bunch!
