You all know that feeling of fullness that happens in your stomach when you've had enough to eat..? Mine just disappeared! I'm not getting tht feeling anymore.. I've had 2 fills and still in a stage of bandaged hell. Although I was feeling some sort of fullness after a while of eating.. Now I don't. Idk how to explain it any better, but has anyone else experiences this??

Almost 4 weeks post op
kristenmyree replied to della8301's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You know I'm going through the same thing.. Starting my 3 week post op on Thursday and am able to eat regularly abt 800-1000 a day and working out. I lost 28.. 18 post op and the other 10 after surgery.. Then gained 4 back.. It's bc your able to eat now, with no restriction in the band.. I felt like my bad had slipped too bc I was able to eat again. My dr said that bc I have no fill and the swelling has gone down that I will be able to eat again not quite as much as before but still quite a bit.. I went for low cal/ sugar free stuff and snack all day.. Sugar free banana pudding.. Grapes.. Scrambled eggs.. Salad wraps and then a reasonable dinner. I'm onto solid foods now but I find that the mushys like jello and pudding are low cal and filling so I still use them as a snack.. Hate to say it but we are in bands yet HELL.. 1st fill April 20th and I hope that helps.. I like the scale to go down, not up lol -
Ugh nothing in my band means no restriction..Easter means food, GOOD FOOD.. I'm pretty sure I might have over ate slightly.. Ugh. Anyone else?

Okay I just feel bad but you have a good way of looking at it.. I'm almost 3 weeks post op and just want to feel restriction.. But had none today.

As tolerated Cleared for solids starting next thurs.. 3 weeks post op And first fill in 2-3 weeks so 5-6 weeks post op! Just thought I'd share my first dr visit (:

So just thought Id share.. I'm 7 days post op (yay) feeling amazingly better even went back to work today. My port incision is now sore but wasn't before but I hear that's common. I was able to eat mashed potatoes today and was really excited.. And banana pudding which is a new favorite. I'm able to eat abt a cup and then feel full ( I thought that it was odd to be eating that much 7days out) especially since days 1-4 I could barely eat anything (did my band slip?) I called my patient coordinator and she said that my band had not been filled yet, and that there was nothing in it so far, and that I couldnt eat much in the first few days bc of the swelling, and that im just healing quickly is why i can put down a cup. she said everyone is different in how they heal. I told her I was still concerned that 1 cup was a lot after surgery.. She then comforted me by saying "we'll how much could you used to eat".. Very true.. A lot. She continued to tell me that if my band had slipped I would be vomiting an have symptoms. So a no on the slip. Thank god. Just me worrying (: Jst wanted to share my thoughts Anyone else have any similarities? (:

I put a pillow kinda tuck under my stomach when I tried to sleep on my side, it keeps the weight frm pulling your stomach down and feeling super uncomfty.. Day 5 I wa able to do that and by 7 I barely had to use the pillow.. Hope I helped! (: -
Okay so I'm 5 days post op and today I got brave ad had a scrambled egg half of one, and then a bean burrito frm t bell for lunch and I'm not supposed to have soft foods till day 7-8.. I know I shouldn't of cheated but it happened and I feel guilty.. Did anyone else have a "cheat"?

As far as the gas goes try burping it really helps I started burping day 4-5 and it helps tons with the pain
-
Yes! Day 3 I was so nautious. It was frm the pain medication. I stopped taking it and had got some liquid children's Tylenol. Felt tons better afterwards. By day 5 I was able to get out of the house and and going back to work tmrw day 7. The pain medication worked for day 1-2 then made me so sick. I recommend trying the children's Tylenol, doesn't taste bad either (:

So I had my surgery this past Thursday I'm hungry and want to try soft foods but can't untill day 8, just curious.. When can you feel like you can eat real food again? As much as I love protein shakes and applesauce, a sandwhich sounds like heaven..
