Port want to come out stabbing pain
balbuquerque replied to balbuquerque's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Feeling a little better after speaking to my doctor. He said that if the incisions are getting better on the outside ( which the are) then it doesn't sounds like I just pulled a muscle from moving around. I'm hoping he's right. Sent from my iPhone using LapBand -

Port want to come out stabbing pain
balbuquerque replied to balbuquerque's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My stabbing pain is getting worst. I didn't sleep last night. My husband suggested I take some Percocets but its not constant pain but it's becoming more frequent. It's Monday so that's a consolation, if I get sick all the medical people should be at work. It feels like something it's trying to push its way out of my skin from the inside Sent from my iPhone using LapBand -

Anyone else Blog? How did you come out to your friends and family about having LapBand?
balbuquerque replied to Suzzie81498's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ive been very open about my surgery, but thats only because I don't want people offering me food all the time. Precisely today at work a co worker walked into my office with biscuit from a fast food chain, and I said oh no I just hast has WLS, and thats it. Im not asking anyone for their approval, just stating a fact. And I leave it open for conversation only if I want to. I hope you find what works for you. -
7 Days post-op..in need of some reassurance!!
balbuquerque replied to aberghorn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
first of all you are so pretty aberghorn. I figure if you are going to cheat do it with protein. mash up some protein that you like, but protein. Im really looking forward to pureeing some red beans, or chicken. but as the last post read follow the sergeants orders. -
you can do it

Hi, you didn't let them cut you up and place foreign objects inside you to label yourself 'fail' so quickly. go back on liquids for two or three days, or whatever it takes. Im only ten days post op, still on liquids. today I had about two ounces of puree so I walked 15 minutes. just dont label yourself that way or that will be what you attract. CHNGE YOUR WAY OF THINKING!

Nine days post surgery and port poking me

Hi everyone I'm wondering how long will I have a poking feeling every time I move in certain ways specially when I lay down at night???? Is this going go away any time soon? I don't want to second guess myself, but I cannot imagine living like this forever. I guess I just want someone to say this is normal right now, and it's going to get better. balbuquerque replied to Dragonfly8a's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

I am five days post op and just realized that Oband doesn't have what they offer on their site like support groups. I'm going to go the support group from the surgeons private practice, and hope he welcomes me. Also the nutritionist doesn't see you anymore after the surgery, weird. I made my follow up appointments with them to see my surgent, that at least is good. Will go in there with a list of questions.

balbuquerque replied to balbuquerque's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Oband is a company that promotes the lap band. Which is what I wanted however their sergeants are subcontracted. Yes I will write down all the questions. Sent from my iPhone using LapBand -

Crying and cant stop.. Day 4
balbuquerque replied to katiedee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Remember that the anesthesia had the side effect of depression. Im putting Milax in my Water to help with the gas. Take pain meds without hesitation. It's really hard if you don't have someone support by your side. This is a great site but it doesn't substitute human contact. I'm sorry you are having it so hard. Call your surgeon tomw and maybe he can help with a prescription. Good luck hon. Sent from my iPhone using LapBand -

Hi it sounds to be like you need immediate relief. An enema or some suppositories is what you need. Sent from my iPhone using LapBand
