    Hey there! I was banded on the 16th as well and I'm totally has free! I was taking the Gas X strips like it was my job and that helped SO MUCH! Also walking seemed to push it out as well. How are you sleeping? I finally slept in my bed last night but was uncomfortable so I'm thinking ill try it again tonight and maybe go back to the recliner if I'm still in pain. I'm a stomach sleeper so laying on my back is frustrating!!

    Day 3 post op and feeling MUCH better!!! Had a break down last night and cried...just being in pain and hungry but FYI crying is NOT FUN!!!! OMG that hurt my stomach so bad!!!! I do have a question...how long after surgery did it take for y'all to have a bowel movement?? I'm getting worries cuz I'm pretty regular but haven't had one since before surgery.

    Ughhh I didn't take a before pic either!!! I was just banded yesterday so I guess I could take one? But I've already lost 25 lbs with preop soooo I should've taken a pic before then!

    Has anybody had chest pain or tightness after surgery? It feels tight when I take deep breaths so pain is the wrong word to describe it! I was banded yesterday so I was hoping this was normal. I'm doing my breathing thing when I remember so like every few hours and its tough to get to where I need to be on that!

    I was banded yesterday!!! (16 July) feeling "ok"...I was able to actually take a shower today and walk upstairs to my bedroom so that was exciting!! Lol I've been walking when I can around the house and taking Gas X strips are my savior right now!! I highly recommend them!! I started my journey in March weighing 290 and of course I stepped on the scale today and I'm at 264.1!! Can't wait to get into ONEderland!!

    Hi there!! I was banded yesterday as well. I'm taking the gas X strips like its my job right now!! Lol it's helping with the gas ALOT!!! I finally "passed gas" today twice and as so excited!! Like buy no shoulder pain! So def try the gas x. I'm having trouble standing up straight and breathing in deep. Like my abs are so tight right now!

    I was just banded this morning!!! Feeling ok so far but really sore on the upper abdomen for obvious reasons!!! Not looking forward to tomorrow since I see a lot of people saying how the pain is worse day 2! Sad!!! I'm on liquid Percocet and its not helping with the pain too much! Oh well I know it'll all be worth it in the end and this pain will be a distant memory!!

    I'm set for Tuesday! July 16th!!! I'm in my 2 week preop diet....3 protein shakes a day with clear liquids in between. I'm down 10 pounds so far! Feeling positive!

    Hey everybody! Started day 1 of my 2 week liquid diet! Massive headache today which I'm sure is from lack of sugar but I'm pushing through!! Surgery date is 16 July!! Getting super excited!! I don't find myself nervous yet at all...is that normal?? Lol

    Yeah it's all liquid! 3 protein drinks a day and sugar free drinks in between. Ok thanks for the heads up about the jitters!! I was starting to think I wasn't normal for not being nervous yet! Lol

    I just got out of the Air Force last August and they won't allow Lapband or any WLS for active duty members because they can't deploy you for fear of complications. I'd be SHOCKED to see if the corps allow u in with the band still in....maybe after u take it out I'm sure you could?
