countrygrl replied to indenial's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm am officially now 6 weeks out an I had alot of the same feelings . I'm a big cooker for all my family an have the in laws over alot to eat so I know how hard this is an you ALL aren't alone in your feelings this is a process we all go through I have trouble not being able to taste the food that in serving that is frustrating to me, but you got to drill it in your head that you did this for a reason an it will be a mind over matter fight everyday because we are all used to our brain thinking one way about food an we are trying to change this. Food is an addiction an like a addict ( I'm guessing never had any addictions) I am learning everyday I can beat the battle, hang in there don't give up yet after day 3 it get better everyday -

My nut told me the something about high calories and for a couple weeks this was all I wanted. Also if you have a Taco Bell in your area the pintoes and cheese are good and cheap -

I was banded April 2 so I'm alittle ahead if some of you all an I am just say after reading alot of your post everything is very normal the way y'all are feeling. I at day 3 began dry heaving non stop everyone I lifted my head up or moved it was HORRIBLE an I honestly thought I wa dying nothing at all was coming up never have I experienced this. I called the doc an had to go in he had to remove some of the pre fluid that was in the band I had hernia repair an I guess it was all so swelled inside after this no more issues. I found the chewable gas x was better than the strips (just my opinion ) I am now with my fist fill which was 2cc an so far so good, hang in there things will get better I promise even though rigt now your probly wondering what on earth have I done to myself !!!
