Does insurance ever cover a TT when the hanging skin is very severe?
******** replied to WeeWers's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
My insurance covers a tummy tuck and breast lift completely if you document a rash and what not..only issue is I'm pre children so I wouldn't want one before that. I'm also pre op so who knows if ill need one -
Ive noticed the quite opposite. I do not to judge others on their appearance but I have friends who are also overweight and the things they say about thin people are really mean..."skinny bit**" (even though they do not know this person), or call someone anorexic just because they are thin or "real women have curves" sometimes adding "only a dog wants bones"...real women do not judge other women or call men dogs.

Thanks...my veins on my hands are easy to find so I ask them to go there when possible but I hate being told I'm dehydrated lol.

Is this something you do before surgery? Dont wanna sound stupid but was not told I have to do this...why do you do this? Who needs to do it?

I can't figure out how to upload pics to my gallery via the app so figured id put the preop pics here. But then I thought it would be neat if other May sleevers wanted to share their pre op pics here and then we can check in monthly. If you want you can put your stats up too.

It doesnt matter how spoiled you are (for the record I dont know the OP so I wont call her that) a dr wont operate on you unless you meet certain criteria, so your point doesn't seem valid.

You can try swimming I heard that helps tighten up the skin...only time will tell

I dont know why my comment went through twice

Aussie do you know her health? It has nothing to do with insurance, a doctor won't operate on you unless you meet criteria. Just because that is her goal doesn't mean that's all she had to lose, maybe she had the Lapband and is getting it removed and wants this to maintain, Maybe she has underlying health issues, or maybe it is none of our business

TMI...If he really cares he will understand...I had my tonsils out in January and I couldn't (u know) for a while because it hurt to put anything big near my insicion site. At least there are other ways to please him if you really arent in the mood lol.

I had all intents on getting the lap band and now am leaning towards the sleeve, is dumping a side effect of the sleeve or just bypass?

I didn't get my pre op appt until after we made the surgery date. I met with my surgeon on the 30th of april and we scheduled the surgery for may 23rd..then the hospital called me to schedule my pre op, which is tomorrow. I was told I was meeting with an anestesiologist and doing an ekg -
I would say whenever you feel comfortable but not as rough as you usually are lol

I'm preop but I weigh twice per week, on friday morning and on Monday morning. . A lot of times people lose weight during the week and then gain it all back on the weekend
