Under 180Lbs And Getting Sleeved, Anyone Else?
******** replied to Cuaya's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My dr wouldnt even allow me to get the surgery unless my bmi was at least 40 or 35 with pre existing condition. So for 180lbs that would be 4'8" and 5'0" tall respectfully. I thought this was true for all surgeons, I dont really understand. I understand the band revision to sleeve but not all others. I had to gain 3 lbs at 265 just to be eligible for surgery at my height because I do not have a pre existing condition. Good luck with weight loss everyone! -

******** replied to binkymarie's topic in Food and Nutrition
I'm not sure the nutritional value but I love the cool lime refresher at starbucks..its iced and made with coffee leaves instead of beans. There is a berry hibiscus one but it tastes too flowery for my tastes -

swimsuits that cover loose skin?
******** replied to jandseakin's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
What about a wetsuit...my friend wears one that covers her arms but they have them that covers your legs as well (whole legs like pants or half legs like shorts) she wears it because she is a skin cancer survivor but it shouldn't matter -

I have a choice of post op Protein drinks but I must pick from a list because my doctor knows the sugar contents in these drinks. Just wondering if anyone has tried more than one of these and can perhaps give reviews or comparisons as to which ones you prefered. This is only for the first two weeks post op. Diet carnation instant Breakfast (made with skim milk) Ensure Boost Advant-edge carb control Atkins ready to drink Glucerma Slim fast Also which flavors did you like if applicable

Does anyone know any other reason besides dehydration that causes deep and wiggly veins? The nurses always have issues getting to my veins in my arms and so I ask them to do it in my hand. Some say they dont do it in the hand so I end up with a large bruise from them poking at me. I drink about a 1/2 to 1gallon of water per day and have for a while (about 3 years and this has always been an issue. I'm pre op btw. What can I do to get my veins to show?
