I love mirena. .. no side effects really for me because the hormones are centralized. I haven't had kids yet so its a good choice regardless of what stage of life your in.
-
Just the extreme weight loss changes it...I am on mirena too and didn't get my period for years until last week (my first week post op) it was because of my quick weightloss
-
Just wondering after my weight loss period can I eat cake on my wedding day? Can I have ice cream every once in a while? Do any of you guys go out to eat? What does alcohol do to you?
-
Yogurt is now allowed in my diet...can I do sugar free frozen yogurt? I can even add some protein powder in there

Does anyone know what causes dry mouth or what could be done to help it. I am 10 days post op and drink about a gallon of water per day and it doesnt feel refreshing...there's no ahhh after taking a sip or 10. It constantly feels dry...what can I do? Will this change?

So I just had surgery so I am no where near the point of needing plastics right now...however my insurance (under my mom is allowed until I'm 26) is very good insurance. ..it paid for my entire VSG and will pay for a tummy tuck and breast augmentation if needed after surgery and weight loss. Most insurances pay for some if any of plastics. I was just curious if anyone did a tummy tuck before having kids? Ive seen many people have kids then work back to their original size (and by original I mean pre kids at goal weight)

I am a week and a half out and a all the actual incisions are healed...just some redness where the incisions were

I am in the same boat as you as i lost a significant amount of weight the first week (21 lbs)but only weigh once per week so I wont weigh again til thursday. I have been told you may lose a lot in the beginning because your body is adjusting and then it is a little at a time. Even though I havent weighed myself yet this week I know I'm not losing 20lbs this week...wouldn't that be nice though?

I know no soda but is sparkling water bad too?

And I can get my arm workout in :-)

Thanks!! I used to buy the ones at walmart because of their subtle flavor and cannot find any flavored water I like...everything tastes too sweet!

I had surgery May 23rd. Was off pain meds and discharged the next day. I only slept in the recliner for 2 nights and took some tylenol for the gas pains in my shoulder. I slept in my bed on my belly after that with no pain. I walked about a mile per day for the first week, was back to driving and work after 5 days and was back to working out after a week. I went to a concert after 8 days and danced and jumped around like everyone else, just drank water instead of beer. I am now 12 days out and am feeling great! Only restriction I currently have is no swimming or baths.
