Sounds great ! Congrats... 43 pounds is amazing ... are you still drinking protein shakes?

How are the reg foods going down? Is your body handling them ok ? How is a typical days diet? Do you still have to take sips?

Well once this pain goes away I am sure I will feel differently... I been so upset I haven't thought to much of loosing weight. Like I just got out the shower and I am totally whooped . . .... NO ENERGY. I KNOW it has to be because I am not on task with my diet ..they say protein protein protein. .and I am not doing it yet .I have to try harder... I just feel lazy and no power. . ..

When was your surgery?

Well the first days ..because my pain eas so bad.. all I could do was maybe one water bottle and a couple popsicles. Oh oh and tried to get a slim fast high protein down..I could get maybe half of it down. But then a couple days ago made a protein shake and just drank 1/4 cup in the morning and another 1/4 in the evening and trying my best to get the water down. I am going to try a cream of chicken soup in about an hour or so. How much can u eat of a can? ..

Jo I just looked at my discharge papers and it said I could advance to PHASE 2 diet and that included applesause..cottage cheese (eww) so sounds like mush foods/soft ?

Hi Jo... I asked him if I could try and he said go head, try a little applesauce but I mentioned an soft boiled egg and he said ok.. if was fine I feel full..but no heart burn or chest pain YET.. I am really trying to get my water down.. so are you able to get your protein in ? Whar does your typical day look like? Diet wise?

He said it will heal...day by day. They did a bunch of test yesterday. ..made sure no blood clots in my lungs. .that test came out negative. ..thank God. I do feel better today..I just cant do much.. which is hard cuz I am normally a very active person. I have been in so much pain ...I have not even thought of weight loss at all..yesterday at the doctor I had a 8/9 pound weight loss.. I am sure because I have only drank some water and ate popsicles.the pain was too much for me to even think about food. Today I actually had 1soft boiled egg..and I feel like I ate 2 steaks and 5 beers.lol...I am stuffed... I must start working on diet and protein. .and getting more than 25 oz of water down. It is just to hard for me...

Plication...he was just saying that his bypass patients dont even have this much pain....HELL TO THE NO...they are not touching me again...

Hi 123 I went yesterday. .. he told me his bypass patients don't experience this much pain. They "think" the one stitch is on a nerve and that is what is causing the extreme pain.. However I will say everyday is getting better ...but dam I just want to be able to lift my purse or my 3 pound dog. This has been so hard. It is just the one cut..if wasn't for that I would be smooth sailing. I THINK..

Thank You so much ....for your kind words and prayers. ..because I so need them..I never thought in a million years I would be this miserable. .I just want to sleep more than 3 hours. ..pick my dog up...get dressed...take my own shower. ..and drink more than 20/25 liquids. . (Water ..anything).. I need to go to work but can't because I can't barely move without pain...let alone pull a pair of pants on. I am sorry for venting. ...I have to think positive but it is really hard for me to even think straight with all pain meds. H e l p.... I have to see a light at the end of this dark tunnel. .a spark..anything. ..oh the ironic thing is I have not even thought of weight loss one time since the surgery. ..

I have to take another week off of work.. I go to the doctor on Tuesday.. I have pretty much cried everysingle day..I have not been able to even get dressed..I am so week..no energy..today.. I tried to drink the slim fast and I felt it was lodged in my chest. I can't sleep at all because my chest is on fire. I take the pepcid and my pain killers...that don't help. I am just a hot mess. Oh yeah I am chewing on tums nonstop.

I spent 4 days in the hospital. . They discharged me while I was have extreme pain. I have one cut that is giving me so much pain. I feel like it is going to burst open..when I try to walk I can't stand straight and I hold my stomach like it is going to split open and my guts are gonna fall on the floor. Oh I can only get 24 oz of liquid down.. I have so much pain medicine Percocet. .vulum..oxcycodne

Are you able to get all your liquid down? I had my surgery on Monday. .and having a horrible time..I am able to get maybe 24oz of water ..a couple sugar free popsicles. . What else are you drinking? I did have a slim fast today it took me about 2 hours to get it down. How about your cuts.. I have one that is so much pain..I cant even stand up strait...I am miserable with the pain.. my mother have to take me a shower. . Dam..

Dont think it is a breeze..ask lots of questions....

Well ..I was there from 7:30 a.m. till about 1:00... meet with the entire team...that included 3 different doctors. Blood drawn from both arms 3 times (I have horrible brusing) I was checked for hernias.. met with the nurse... and they went over everything 200 time ..It was so overwhelming....I thought I was gonna be in the hospital for only 23 hours...come to find out I will be in for 3 days. I will also come home with a drain tube coming from my stomach....Y E S. I AM FREAKING OUT...

I am here now .... got here at 7:30a.m. (OHIO).... first I got blood drawn..and then I meet with ?? That took my blood pressure ....weight...then a doctor.. (D.O.) That asked 100 medical questions..and checked to see if I had any hernias.. checked my breathing..toughed my legs..pressed here and there....really nice doctor. ..I guess I will be seeing him after the surgery. ..and all my appointments after the surgery. I like him. I am now waiting to see the surgeon and his nurse... I already have a bad taste in my mouth with the nurse..she rubs me the wrong way... just talking to her on the phone and the one other appointment. ..maybe I am just on edge.... I am so antsy. ..
